Online Application, How many days do i have to hand-in my passport to the VAC when it requested?

I am going for a vacation soon but i also just applied for a study permit.

I want to know how many days will the VAC/CIC wait for me to give them my passport when they request from me to give it to the VAC?

I just did my bio metrics and it said i have 30 days to go and give it. Is it also 30 days for passport?
