Online Application for my Fiance.

Hello
I need some advice here.
Just last week I started completing an online TRV Application for my Fiance to possibly visit me in Canada for by early next year. Well, we planned to get married early next year February 2018 after she has received the visitor's visa. Then come back to Canada with her for the honeymoon immediately. Then on her arrival in Canada, I will then submit the Spouse Sponsorship Application for her to remain permanently. I am Canadian Citizen. Reason for taking this step is because I just feel that family sponsorship will take longer time for her to join me. Please is this a good plan? I am open to professional advice from members out there.
Furthermore:
1. Is it a must to complete the Family Information Form as we are not yet married and as the application is for Visitor's visa?
2. My fiance is currently not working. She is still an applicant since after her graduation from the University, hence she has no proof of financial support. For now I am 100% financially responsible for the said visit to Canada. Are there some important documents I should include in the application that will convince CIC to issue her TRV asap?
3. Please I am open to advice from any of you out there.
4. I noticed that after uploading the whole documents online, there was no "next or continue" button to click to take me to payment and submission page. All I saw at the left corner below the forms uploading page was "Exit questionnaire". Is this normal. No submit button for me to click to submit.
I am confused. Please kindly help me again as usual.
Regards,

I would personally wait until she has a full time job before applying. As things stand now, the chances of approval are likely very low since she really has no ties to her home country and no real assets. CIC will likely assume she is planning on using the TRV to come to Canada and try to remain long term.

Hi,

While it's a good idea to plan long-term, unfortunately it's going to be a challenge for your fiancée to get a TRV = Your plan might just not work. You may want to think of a Plan B.

To answer your questions:
1. Yes, she must complete the Family Information form..... but, as you are not a family member (not as yet), she does not have to list you in that form.

2. Your fiancée must demonstrate that she has strong ties to be approved for a TRV. Unfortunately, her ties seem to be quite weak..... she is not employed + not studying + no finances + probably no assets (property/land ownership, car, etc) + she is young

Your finances are secondary for a TRV. She's the one who must prove she can afford the visit + airfare, while you could provide accommodation/cover travel and living expenses.

While one must be honest in visa applications, chances of TRV approval are quite low when the applicant has a Canadian boyfriend/fiance/ spouse.

1. Does she have any previous travel history?

2. Where will the wedding happen - in her home country? If yes, have you (not your fiancée) booked confirmed tickets to go to her home country? What other evidence can you provide for the wedding (invitations, venue/caterers/florist, marriage license application, etc etc)?

3. Apart from the wedding, can she prove she must return to her home country for any other reason shortly after visit? I'm assuming her application states an intended visit/day-by-day itinerary before the wedding

Cheers

So if I wait after the wedding, then apply for ''Spouse Sponsorship'', will that be enough strong reason for her to get the visa to join me here in Canada?

Her TRV application would continue to remain weak even after the wedding + after filing for spouse PR. That's because she ties aren't strong (unless she finds employment or enrolls for another study program) + it would seem like she wants to remain in Canada while her PR app is being processed.

Realistically speaking, the only viable visa route is to file for spouse PR and wait it out. IMO, she is likely to be refused a TRV if she applies before/after the wedding

Agreed with the above. Getting married will in no way strengthen the application - if anything, it will make it weaker. I agree the chances are refusal are extremely high (pretty much guaranteed given she really doesn't have any ties). If something significant about her profile changes (e.g. secures a full time job with a big company) - that may make a difference. Otherwise I agree that you should focus on spousal sponsorship instead.

Again, before I forget. I was married for 15 years before and divorced 3 years ago. Will that pose any problem if I applied for spousal sponsorship?
Apart from including my divorce certificate, are there any other important documents I should include in the application apart from the CIC listed required documents for spousal sponsorship?
Thanks for the advice.

No, it won't be a problem.

You'll need to prove that it is a genuine relationship i.e. evidence such as chat transcripts, emails, letters/cards, photographs (wedding, holidays together, etc), letters of support from family/friends, etc etc

I recommend that you move over to the Family Class Sponsorship section for more advice
