I have just applied study visa at London office (Online) and with a provisional offer letter, it looks my one should take ages as it is a provisional offer letter and lot of documents. Does someone know what are the factors delay your visa process.

I am considering that processing time is eight weeks (as I have applied in London) or 16 days as I have heard online application goes to Ottawa (It also mention Eastern Standard Time on application status) or may be 2 weeks (processing time from my hoe town; Chandigarh). It is really hard when you do not know how much you have to wait. Can you please help me.

I am in USA and i have applied online on February-25-2014, i take my biometrics on February-28-2014, i was waiting for the medical exams but it says Not needed at this time, i am just guessing that they will ask me for that later, but i don´t know some of you have applied on line and from USA ?, i will like to start on May but if it takes too much time i think they will denied my study permit because it will be late for may admission ? what experience do some one here have with a late response or a late visa ?, my admission letter says May 1.

I think you can do that since two more month to go but if you cannot do that, they wont refuse they will ask for a letter from university stating that you can join next term.

You never know, online application time as I applied on 27th November 2013 from UK. Processing time from London is 8 weeks, while It has been 13 week since I applied.

I got admission in University of Victoria (MEngg-Mechanical) for Sep 2014 Session, but i am confused on below four points and i will appreciate ur comments and feed back on these concerns.
(1) I should Apply online or paper based for visa? as i have 3 years of gap b/w my studies and purposed course start date and my employer is not giving me experiance letter (as it is small firm they dont want trained person to leave them) Sad if i apply online i have to upload experiance letters or not???
(2) My IELTS will expire on 10th March 2014 although i got addmission with the same IELTS but now it is expire so i should reappear for IELTS or just give old score card for visa?
(3) My passport will expire on aug 2016 while my course duration is sep 2014 to sep 2016 , i dont want to put my self in trouble or mess after reaching there to renew my passport and apply for new study permit etc ( can i apply for new passport or any member have faced similar situation)??.
(4) i have a bank statement in my account of 50000$ (six months old) do i need to prove to visa officers from where these funds came?[/b][/b][/b]
I will be very thankfull if u guys can comment on these four issues
