Do I really need to list all my entries and exits with complete accuracy, or can I just complete the calculation such that my physical presence is eligible for citizenship?

I definitely don’t want unnecessary trouble. Quite the opposite. It’s a lot of hassle to go back through 5 years travel history, so I’m trying to save myself that hassle. I’m just wondering if the physical presence calculation on the online application needs to represent all my travel history accurately, or if it simply needs to show that I’m eligible for citizenship.
It needs to do both. It certainly needs to be accurate or you'll end up creating complications and delays for your application.
Spend a few minutes or even a few hours to go through the ALL trips in the last 5 years. If seen IRCC give people trouble for missing 1 day on their physical presence calculator. Your file could be stuck for years before they finally reject the application. Take the time to do it right once and for all.
