Onip with job offer - work permit type

Hi,

I am in ONIP with job offer program, I am a PNP program paper applicant and got AOR in early July. My PGWP will be expired this weekend.

My Questions are:
1. I did some research, I can only apply for a closed WP due to the restriction, other than BOWP, is it correct?
2. I have plan to applied for spouse sponsorship program as backup later, if I already got a close work permit at that time, can I still apply for the SOWP?

if you certificate has job restrict you have to apply closed wp, you need to apply it before your PGWP expired.

If you already had Clsoed WP you do not need it, but which may give your choice when the closed one expired or you want to change the job.

Another thing is do I have to stick with the same company during my PR application, do I have to cancel the application if I leave the company.

depend which stream you applied, but if you hold Closed wp, you would be best stay untill you get PR.
