OINP asks for last 6 month statements only. If you have the money in your account for past 6 months, they accept it as your money - no question asked.ibk said:

You can have your money in any account as long as the account is in your name. CIC do not generally ask for 2 year statements, they just need last 6 months' statements. In that case as well, if a large sum of money gets credited to your Indian bank account, you will have to explain the source.ibk said:
