Dear Members,

I would like to if Ontario is issuing letter of interest for candidates above 400 points? or has it stopped issuing them or put under hold. If so when would it likely to resume.

Thanks.

Regards,
Girish

Lately, there has been a temporary hiatus in Ontario sending out PTs. It seems OINP is clearing the backlog which they have accumulated since November (as they had to process Syrian refugee applications). Post this, which I assume would be May 2016 onwards, they would start issuing PTs. My assumption is based on the fact that they have updated OINP settlement funds requirement here http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html. The requirement refers to applications that will be submitted after May 6, 2016.

As per OINPs updated dated May 9, 2016, Ontario stopped sending Notifications of Interest (NOIs) for the OINP Human Capital Priorities (Express Entry) stream effective February 16, 2016. Ontario anticipates that it will receive its 2017 nomination allocation from the federal government before the end of November 2016, and the province expects to be in a position to accept applications for some streams in six months.

In six months? :o

That's unfortunate; I wish I'd started the process back in February.
Back then I had two international trips coming up to I decided to postpone things until I got back... And now it's too late :(
