One year Post Graduate Certificate course is good ??

Hi friends,

i am arun from India. my educational back ground is as follows.

Master of engineering in Control & Instrumentation engg. with 81 %
Graduation(AMIE) in Electrical engineering (informal course) with 61 %
Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical engg. with 72 %

i have one year experience as a project engineer ( not in 29 occupations list ) & 6 months as lecturer.


is it good to study a One year Post Graduate Certificate course from a community college in canada?

is there any chance to get PR/continuing there, after the expiry of post graduate work permit?


Kindly help me to take a decision.

Mate,

You said that you can not apply under the federal skilled worker category because your job experience doesnt fall in those 29 categories. So that means the only other way for you to get PR is through the Canadain Expereince Class (CEC).

But please remember under the CEC for students to get PR, you should have studied atleast for 2 years (and not 1) in a Canadian University and then you will get your post graduate work permit (i would think for another 2 years) where you can gain your experience and then apply for PR
