Hello Ponga and All

On the website in Inland Application forms, the Generic form 008 shows updated in NOV 2015 and on the bottom of the same page, it shows this page has been modified on 30-11-2015. Is it mean that the new form was uploaded on 30-11-2015? but if i go under the form -document preferences it says it was modified on 9/11/2015. I think all it matters the the website update not the form because forms can be modified at anytime, but all it matters when it is uploaded on website for the applicants.

The same with 5710E form. it says oct 2015 in the bracket and the website says it was updated on 30-11-2015.

As my file was received on the 27 Nov and called CIC, the rep said I am safe as if I still send the outdated forms like when the new forms just introduced, like 1-2 month period of time, then the old forms are still valid for certain period so I don't have to worry. He said if my application is completer with the required forms, signs then you should just wait as they are working on 21 Sep 2015 application.

Please advice if anybody has gone through same thing

Thanks

No I didn't. I am 27 Nov, 2015 applicant. I called them and they said wait for 2 months if your application package is complete to get the AOR and . I saw your timeline that you got your AOR in a month. You applied in 2015 Dec and got AOR in 2016 Jan. so lucky you are.

Thanks

I created a thread for this already, but I am also posting it here so the appropriate people read this..

I don't know what to do. We sent our inland application for sponsorship with the open work permit included back in September. It was intended for the OWP pilot project. It was received by CIC on Sept 11, and started processing on Dec 12. We completed both the permanent residency application and the open work permit application according to the checklists provided on the CIC website. Everything on the checklist was included.

We received a package in the mail today. We were very excited, expecting it to be the work permit we've been waiting for. Instead, it was the open work permit portion of our application, returned with a letter saying it was not processed because it was incomplete. We're supposed to fill out a new form that I have never seen before and isn't listed on the application checklist - IMM5710: Application to Change Conditions, Extend My Stay, Or Remain in Canada as a Worker. This form is not listed in the checklists for either the Inland spousal sponsorship application or the open work permit application, and it's not listed on the pilot program page either. I don't know how we could have known this was a necessary piece of our application. Even the application we were returned doesn't have this form on their checklist!

I'm terrified. All this time, I was under the impression that my husband would be granted Implied Status as long as the application was in process, and that as long as we mailed our application before his visitor visa expired, we'd be fine. Members of this forum advised me as much. We even called CIC to confirm this. We were so careful to make sure that we included everything so this didn't happen. Now, we don't know where to turn.

He arrived in Canada in May 2015 on a 6-month visitor permit that expired a month after we sent our application away. Does this mean my husband is now out of status and not eligible for the open work permit? Does this mean the application to extend his stay will be rejected because he's now out of status? Will my husband be forced to leave Canada, making our sponsorship application null? What do we do? Has anyone else come across this problem before?

If you successfully applied for the open work permit and did not have this problem, where did you find the information that told you this IMM5710 form was needed for this pilot program? I can't find it anywhere but on the specific page it's listed.

I'm really panicking here. Please help.

This is what everyone is scared of happening. Does anyone
Been in this situation? What did u guys do?

We're still trying to figure it out.. we called CIC for instructions but have been told a number of different things. I've been frantically researching all day to figure out what our next steps are.

It seems like we need to restore his status somehow, then apply for the work permit. But we don't know where the forms are supposed to go or in what order. It looks like we need to do IMM5708 (restore status as a visitor), then IMM5710 (the proper OWP for this pilot program). But you need valid status for IMM5710 to be approved, which means IMM5708 needs to be processed first. We're considering sending the two together in the same package but I'm really afraid of messing it up again.

I know what you mean. I was being very paranoid about it because when I passed my app for PR and OWP, I didn't paid enough on my OWP and I think I didn't include a checklist for OWP having the impression that it's all in one package anyways so I assumed that I just had to include the form for OWP app and that's it. I didn't include any documents with it coz I have the docs in my PR app anyways. So what I did was, before my visit visa/status expired, I was debating if I would apply for extension on my visitors visa or not. A day before my status expired, I applied for an extension online. It cost me $100 but I would rather pay than have my OWP app returned and lose my status. If I waited another day, I would've end up paying a restoration and waiting is a killer

Hi guys I a currently reviewing the spreadsheet for 2015 inland application and what I have noticed they will give our OWP in a month or two after AOR. so lets always pray and goodluck to everyone!

Hi guys I got a question

I sponsored my wife for her PR last November and now she is still waiting for her work permit 1st. The thing is we applied before the end of her tourist visa so everything is alright because she have a implicit visa.

But we just figured out she is pregnant and now she doesn't have a social insurance number so no Alberta health care.

What are your suggestion ?
I know the easy way would be to wait to wpry visa so she can have the Alberta health care. But she really want to go see the doctor as she got some stomach pain.

Thank you for the help

Can anyone who has submitted an upfront medical for inland after AOR confirm with me that it is possible to do that and how they went about submitted it? Also was received it in time before you got your OWP (i.e. your OWP didn't have restrictions). It doesn't say on the website. (in fact it doesn't even say if you can do this at all).

Hi everyone,

I'm SCLPC applicant, I sent my PR application before few months and before one week I sent my OWP application, because in meantime I loose my status and I was waiting for new visitor record. My question is:

Can I travel outside from Canada to visit my family if I get OWP?
What can I do if is not possible for re-entry? What documents I need? Visitor visa again?
Or maybe I need only to wait for approval for my PR application?

Thank you

Thank God!!!

Received my husbands OWP just now, fresh from the mailbox.

Sent Aug 27, 2015 (resent, due to insufficient payment, originally sent June 10, 2015, and was returned back)

After 4 months, we were calling CIC to follow up, that was Dec 27 til 1st week of Jan 2016, made 3 calls, 1st agent says in process then they email CIC to follow up.

Called Jan 12, 2016 and they said, mail was dispatched Jan 11 and they don't know the result, has to wait for another week til today that mail finally arrived.

The expiration date of the OWP is the same as the passport expiration, nevertheless, his PR should come out by then.

Case Type: 27
Date issued: Jan 11, 2016

Good luck to the rest of you guys!!

The form 5710 is on the checklist (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5556e.pdf) for the OWP.

Sorry to hear though, sounds horrible. I'm still waiting on my OWP to arrive from Sept 15th application, going by previous post it'll still be a couple weeks at least.

After 2 months, OWP application only. so when sending it the 2nd time, I had to attach a letter for them to refer to my previously sent PR application. Coz guideline says, it should be sent TOGETHER. By that time, i already received email acknowledging receipt of PR application. I attached the email as well.

Thanks! 2 months huh! it's a killer...I am still hopeful by the time I realize my mistake I already sent another OWP with the missing fee of $100 in Vegreville last 01/3/2016 without waiting for the OWP application to be returned...I hope they consider it anyway..Where did you resend your OWP? Can you please give me the complete address where did you send it mississauga or vegreville?
