Hello, I create my profile for exprese entry some months ago, but now I got I year of Canadian experience in a Skilled job (noc B) however I have that experiencie in two differente companies even is the same job: June 14 to March 15 in company A and March 15 to June 15 in company B, and I see that this system is not counting has a year even the NOC code is the same, so what happen to me? I must wait until March 2016???? it's unfair! how can I do? I change my job because of the salary you know, company B pay me more money. But now CIC and this system is not recognizing me that year of experience in Canada!!!, some help please.... thanks

The problem is that I tried, I did it, but the system doesnt change , doesnt give me the points!!!! it still counts as less than one year

Somebody in the same position?

What you do is just put one employer as 12 months in the calculation of points.

Then in the application state the 2 employers and provide an explanation letter telling them that during points calculation you had this problems and had to improvise.

You will be ok.

I started working here on May 5th 2014 and gained one year experience on May 5th 2015. I applied for Express Entry on May 8th but was denied - it said my profile was ineligible.

I applied again once it hit June and it was fine. I believe this is because the work history section does not allow you to fill in dates, just month and year of employment. So whilst it was still May, it did not register me as having a year experience. Wait til July and it should change.

IMO in express entry CEC, you need to have continuous experience that means 1 year will one employer gives you point but if it is more than 1 employer, you are eligible but no points....

COMPLETELY WRONG and utterly irresponsible to make such a comment.

A definite -1 to you

You'll be happy to know that CIC has recognized this problem, but had to issue a "technical amendment" to ministerial instructions. This was done on May 30, 2015.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/mi/express-entry.asp

"As of May 30, 2015, all valid Canadian work experience will be recognized under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of Express Entry as CIC is removing the requirement that Canadian work experience be continuous. As a result, foreign nationals with Canadian work experience could see an increase in their CRS points."

So my question is, when did you complete/update your profile? It might be necessary to delete your old profile and create a new one...

Since you asked if you needed to wait until March 2016, I have to assume you mean June 15, 2015. Which is in the future, not the past. CIC will only count PAST experience. You *might*need to wait until July 2015 for the system to recognize experience in June 2015 (just a hunch).
