When you go to canada with student visa, do you normally have one way ticket due to the reason that you dont know when you will return?

Or you the rule is you must buy return/2 way ticket to aboard the flight?

What is the common practice for student visa holders? I know for UK, one way ticket is alright, not sure for canada.

Has anybody faced problem in the airport immigration/with airlines/at port of entry for having one way ticket?

Please kindly share your experience. Thanks.

1. One way is fine, but it is much better to buy a return. less questions asked and the price actually may be cheaper. With a one way you will have to prove additional funds to depart Canada.

- One way ticket is fine too. There was no problem for me at the airport, and to the immigration officer when I entered Canada as a student. IO may ask you about availability of fund for yor tuition fee.
If you have a return ticket, it will be a hassle to sale it and get your money back!
