with the old process FSW 2014,
you cannot apply/qualify for PR application unless your NOC is included in the 50 list of occupations.

Senior managers – financial, communications and other business services
Senior managers – trade, broadcasting and other services, n.e.c.
Financial managers
Human resources managers

does this still apply with express entry?
do these 50 listed NOCs in 2014 still matter when it comes to qualifying and being granted PR.

thoughts will be appreciated

In EE, you need not to worry about those 50 Noc mentioned under fsw14. Instead all the NOC not matter what they are, are qualified for EE.
I hope its clear now.

ok that clears it for me. thanks! :)

basically with EE, no specific NOCs needed.

Experience has to be from any NOC from occupation O, A and/or B.
