once file is transfered to local office..

My file is also transferred to local office (Scarborough) since May 26th . God knows when will I receive my oath.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on April 7, 2011.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on April 7, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on October 17, 2011.

Your file was transferred to the St Clair office on November 21, 2011. The St Clair office will contact you if additional information is required. The St Clair office will contact you regarding your citizenship test once all the necessary checks on your file are complete.

We sent you a notice on January 6, 2012 to appear and write the citizenship test on January 23, 2012 at 8:15 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.

We sent you a letter on March 28, 2012. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the letter before sending us additional information, as the letter will outline all information that is required. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
 
thats from 2011. things are different now. none of the recent ones have the local office mentioned. sydney does the background checks nowadays.

you can call the helpline and they can tell you the date if transferred.

The funny thing I called yesterday the lady said background checks just started
Called today another lady insured me background checks were over
Who knows....
 
Oh so you applied recently...My time line is crazy :( I have applied in August 2011 and was given a pre test RQ in Feb 2013. Wrote test on Feb 2014 and waiting since then :o .....
