At risk of increasing everyone's paranoia LOL... I would not say "no chance" of getting an udpate. LOL. While CIC does not work on the weekends, I've heard of people getting their e-cas updated at 4 AM in the morning of getting email updates from CIC on the weekends. Mind you, this is likely some data entry clerk they pay O.T. to come in on the nights/weekends during crunch times or something - as it is VERY RARE and almost unheard of.. but not ... impossible ;D

Paranoid yet?

PS I love this thread lol

Thanks for liking the thread, I just really thought I need to assure everyone that they are not alone being a paranoid like me. :P

Btw, I got my AOR 5am in the morning. So yea, CIC is really unpredictable.

Is it Monday yet? I hate weekends (even if there is a slight chance of them contacting me, which I doubt strongly because of my country and how lazy ppl are here to work especially on weekends) but yea, I can't wait till Monday. Each new Monday I say to myself this is the week. :-X

Not sure about "very rare". Two of our ECAS updates from CEM, were right smack in the middle of the weekend. Going 'In Process' and then going 'Decision Made'. Not there Saturday morning, but there by Saturday night. Maybe they have some sort of batch processing that kicks off at midnight Saturday into Sunday, Manila time!

We hated weekends before that happened too!

Oh! I feel the same, Dai! I used to love weekend, but none of that, anymore. :'(

We were discussing with my husband how this process has changed us. I used to be very trusting, but sadly, I find myself losing trust in people.
I will pray God to give it back to me.

That is great! Unfortunately I feel like my country takes their sweet little time to process applications, as if 17 months weren't enough. I wish sponsorship cases were processed quicker since they don't know what it is to be away from your spouse/family for so long. Tonight a year ago I could have been with my hubby out for dinner or the movies, tonight I'm just waiting to be able to do that again soon.

I sympathize with you. I would miss my sweetie so much if we were apart.

Every choice has its positives and negatives. We chose to apply Inland and we are together, however, he cannot go back to his country and see his family until the process is over.

Love this thread !

I keep thinking, everyone waits for emails from immigration.. Meanwhile we hired a great consultant, the only thing is, everything goes to him! So even if immigration emails him, we still have to wait for an email from him! Aaarghh.. ???

It sure does! Haha

The "Decision Made" on Sponsorship approval was on Friday midnight, Pacific time.
The "In Process" for my husband's PR application was on Sunday midnight, Pacific time.

So I'd also say that eCAS does update over the weekend.

P.S. Off to check the eCAS now :P

That's one of the reasons I would not hire a consultant. I am too much of a control freak. ???
Plus ... we could not really afford to pay for one :P

Yeah it was expensive on a tight budget but well worth it! We have a bit of a complicated situation and he actually used to be an immigration officer and gave us a lot of advice! He's great , if anyone needs one in the Toronto area, his name is Adam Blum and his company is Canadian Immigration Problem Solvers :)

You made the right decision, then!!! 8)

Great thread!! :)
I'm happy I found this forum, as there's a lot of infomation here and really really nice people too. I won't even start with all the things I've worried about ever since sending our application, but it's definitely nice to know I'm not the only one :D
