On Replacing the Personal ID on Citizenship Application

Hello folks!

I made a very stupid mistake when applying for my citizenship: instead of using my OHIP ID for the personal ID section, I submitted my Ontario Photo Card.

The issue here is that in order to get a Driver's license, I will need to cancel my Ontario Photo Card. I am not sure whether IRCC will still process the application if the ID has been cancelled (I would play my cards on them not processing it).

I do not urgently need a driver's license but it seems to become more and more useful every year gone by - and with the graduation system here, the sooner I start the better since I primarily require it to drive abroad.

If it comes to it, I would rather get my citizenship over and delay driving by a year or so. But - naturally - I would prefer to have both my citizenship and my driver's licence by the end of the year.

With that in mind, I wonder if anyone here has faced a similar issue or has heard of someone facing a similar issue? Did it affect the processing time? Any other thoughts?

EDIT: I forgot to mention my application status. I just received an AOR on the 28th of Jan (Applied in early October).

I don't think it's a big deal, but call them and see what the agents say.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to send a copy of your health card to be added to your file. Would they do it?

My husband's health card as well as as driver's licence expired a couple of days before he sent in his application. He sent a copy of the expired licence as one of the ids as Ontario government has extended their validity. He’s since received the new one, having renewed it online. Wondering if he should send a copy of the new licence or wait until he hears from them.
