You're fine, because you don't need a visa to enter Canada.

Doing it by the book, you should contact a visa office in the US to report your PR card lost and apply for a PR travel document, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=47&top=10

However, I don't think you have enough time to get a PR travel document before Friday. As your passport is visa exempt, the airline may still let you fly. The eTA hard requirement has been pushed back until November 9th, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1235&top=16

Should the airline refuse, you could attempt to fly to Buffalo and crossing over by land from the US.

Your only problem is with the airline. As Leon mentioned, eTA is not yet in full force so most likely you can still just travel on your visa-exempt passport. This means when you check-in to your flight, you should not mention your PR status to the airline. If traveling on passport alone, then you need to pretend to the airline that you are a foreign national/visitor and nothing more. If they can find out you're a PR, they may demand valid PR card or Travel Doc and deny boarding if you don't have these docs.

When arriving in Canada, you can tell CBSA your situation and they should be able to determine your PR status with passport alone. This may require a trip to secondary inspection, but in the end you should be allowed entry with no problem.
