On cic website it does not say anything about wage/hr for reference letter but it does say about annual sally. So do we have to mention wages/hour. Do VO does not look into hourly wage. Just curious. Any comments why they didn't say anything about hourly wages in reference letter

How do you get paid? Some people get paid salary or wages and moreover your T4 reflect your annual income. Go with the option that describes your situation

The info for the reference letter is at the checklist imm5610 page 3 number 10 it does ask for annual salary plus benefits and number of hours worked per week; you don't need hourly wage

I agree. And your T4 + NOA include all necessary information about your income.

Dear,
There are normally two different type of salaries in canada. One is hourly basis and other is monthly fixed. If u r getting hourly then u have to mention hourly salary only in refernce letter.as u must be doing overtime also.Further VO will cross check with ur T4, and NOA about ur salary.U must attach all paystubs for complete one yr. to eliminate any kind of doubt about ur salary.

Generally, this is good information, the two most common forms of *compensation* are salary and hourly wages - but an hourly wage is not a salary.

The letter of employment should describe how you are paid. If you are paid a salary, state the annual salary. If you are paid an hourly wage, state the hourly wage and approximate annual earnings.
