on a temporary work permit but get a promotion

I am on a temporary work permit that i got thru PNP in saskatchewan as a Computer Technician. Now they need to promote me as the manager because my manager is leaving a few weeks from now and since I am the only person who is familiar with our systems. We only have limited time for training that's why also limited time for hiring a new manager and really got no choice. I know that I am on a closed work permit and only allowed to work for the position stated on my work permit but the question is can I work as an acting Manager even without getting a new work permit and not declared as a Manager to the government?

It depends. What do you have on your nominations? If you have NOC number - You should not change the position. It is very important, because they can cancelled your nomination. You can be a manager with your position (You can combine positions) but salary must be the same or bigger.

Well it is my personal advise that if you working in same company and just going to
take charge for temporary even more senior position that would not be issue.you no need
to tell sinp or any other dept as its your personal temporary solution base on your company's request, requirements
n for their solution. some time u have to b practical rather than to being open every where.If your
company hasnt any problem then just carry on.Make sure your company is favorable with you.
Rest is upto you and try to take more advise from your friends or other forum guys.(some people dont like
my practical advises that i give to someone at here.and try to blame on me lolll)
