bro..i have not opened my gic myself..i hired a representative and they did it..and ya approx. 6 lacs is enough in GIC. if u r apllying under spp.. nt in case of non spp..sry i dnt knw

all you have to fill a form and mail back to the scotia bank , they will revert back to you. after that you have to make a bank transfer of cad $10150 from your own bank account in india and after 10days you will get your gic certificate .
