Older im0008 form used will this be an issue?

Hey guys ,

My husband was here in Australia in March. We signed and dated all our forms then, but then were delayed with him waiting on his income statement. He finally got it and sent in our application in august. Arriving August 09 according to our tracking number.

Looking at the cic website i have just realised they updated the im0008 in June. So far we have not even had confirmation that they have received our paperwork. Which could potentially set us back quite a bit as I would to to refill the paper send it too hubby as he sent it in. For him to reapply. Will using the forms from before June dated in March be an issue for us? I'm worried we haven't heard from them because it's an older form

Most likely they can RETURN the whole package to your home address . Try phoning them..

Generally, you must (re-)submit your application using the most recent version of the forms. They give you a little leeway but if they are over a month or two out of date, possibly expect the application to be returned.

My 0008 is october 2017 filled in in March and another came out in Feb. So my guess is we will get the sucker back . Damnit . Live n learn. My hope was to be over before the start of the school year for my daughter. So by aug sept 2019. But oh well win some loose some

Everything I have read says they wont accept calls outide of Canada and my hubby works nights. So I know he will have trouble staying awake if he does ring them... he in notorious at falling asleep on hold .. and I dont think skyped quality is good enough for a phone call to get through on loud speaker.. lmao he can fall asleep anywhere in just about any position... hes even dropped an XL tripple tripple timmies on the subway lol

You can prepare the new package, while keep on waiting if they return you. Ours was returned without any email; after about 2 months , it takes many days to reach you. They send it by ROAD not by AIR. Then we are late almost 3 months behind. SO if you are fully ready and see returned thing, post it in a day or 2 you won't be too late either. In my case I had to send via email, she signed, validated> sent me few forms by DHL. SO thus too many days were wasted.

Also if it is being returned or had been returned this can be sure found by phoning them, NO other method.
