Old passport with TRV VS New passport

Hello,

My sister has a passport with TRV til 4th November. She has already applied for new passport as old one has less than 6 months validity. She will receive new one within 3 days and old one will be punched ( that means will be no longer valid as she can't have two passports at the same time).
She is planning to visit from 15th September to 30th October.
Now can she travel with new passport and carry old passport ( though invalid)as TRV seal in there??

She should be able to visit as long as the visa itself doesn't get punched or damaged.

One thing to note is she should arrive as early as possible at the airport. In my experience the airline check-in attendant will have to call the Canada Border Agents to get a clearance code. If the check-in attendant is unaware of this detail the process could take well over an hour.

I had this happen all 3 times I traveled to Canada in this situation with all airlines (Westjet, United, and Delta Airlines) so I don't think it was a one-time thing. I almost missed my flight the first time it happened because we didn't know why I wasn't able to check in.

As far as I know, the answer is NO. This system is applicable for US. But my previous post says otherwise. Probably he was travelling to Canada from US.
