My primary residence is in Ontario for the entire last year. However, I do frequently travel outside of Ontario. I wonder:
- Do I need to subtract all the days I wasn't physically in Ontario, even if it's just a short trip?
- If yes, how is this calculated? In PR renewals they calculate any day you're partially present in Canada as a valid day. Is this also the case for OINP? For example, if I left Ontario today and return tomorrow, do I have to substract 0 or 1 day (or maybe 2)?
I called OINP two times but they gave contradicting answers. No offical FAQ explains this. I don't want to get a refusal letter because of all these short trips, nor do I want to be too late to get in the pool to miss the next draw. Wonder if anyone has experienced or know what it's truly like.
