OINP questions

Hi Guys,

I received PT from OINP (my EE score is 417), so have few questions about the whole process, if anyone can guide me.

I want to know about actual process going forward, which will help me take the decision.
- I understand I will require to pay 1500 CAD fees for the process; is this only for me or also for my wife (who is dependant in my EE profile)?

- Receiving PT doesn't gaurantee I will get PNP Visa; however any idea what could be reason for profile not getting the Visa (apart from lack of documents, funds, etc)

- The fees is non-refundable, so if I don't receive invitation (after I submit my docs) still I will lose my money?

- what happens to the profile until I get processed, i.e. will I be eligible for normal EE pool or I will be removed from the pool?

Please guide me and correct me (on above understanding), and any other information that will help me here. Thanks.

Hi,
As far as I know 1500 CAD is non-refundable and till the time they will evaluate you ie. 90 days or more your profile will not be visible in the normal EE Pool. If everything goes right you should get PNP.

The total fees is CAD 1500 regardless of the number of dependents.

- Receiving PT doesn't gaurantee I will get PNP Visa; however any idea what could be reason for profile not getting the Visa (apart from lack of documents, funds, etc)
The only reason one can possibly be rejected is if the applicant is not able to substantiate the claims made by them in the EE profile. If the quota is filled for this year, your file will be processed in the next year.
Also note that if you get a nomination from OINP you will not directly get a visa. You will get a nomination certificate which is valid for 6 months and an additional 600 points in your EE profile. The nomination helps an applicant get an ITA and then the regular rules of EE apply.

I assume you mean if you don't get nominated. Yes. If you receive an ITA while OINP is still processing your document, or if you withdraw your application or if you get rejected, you will still lose the CAD 1500. The only cases where monies will be returned are:
1. You send an incomplete application and they return the application package back.
2. You withdraw before they start processing your case and a check for completeness hasn't been performed.

You will still be active in the pool. A lot of members have received ITAs while their applications to OINP were still in process.

Hi,

I am curious to know under what category will i be put after i get my OINP nomination. My OINP application is under process and I am a CEC applicant which exempt me from settle funds. My question is after i get my nomination do i have show settle funds while applying for PR in EE? Will i still be considered as an CEC applicant or PNP applicant?
