hi

sorry if this is not the right place and forgive my lack of knowledge but I am a spouse whose husband is going through OINP through his work, so I am not involved in the process and not allowed to contact the lawyers with questions.

So I only actually found out a few weeks ago that we are going through OINP. I had thought it was CEC but it isn't.

we are about to submit all the paperwork around family history, police checks from each place you lived etc. my question is around the process after this.

my husband was just told that once we do this, there is a 14 month wait and they won't explain what that wait is. it's very specific and I can't get answer and honestly, this process is stressing me out so much :( :(

any light anyone can shed on this would be so appreciated :D :D

and please be gentle if this is not the right place/question. I am completely ignorant when it comes to all this

It seems that you want to know about the PR application process post OINP nomination, but experts here will be able to answer your queries better, if you can be more specific with your queries.

Hey,

OINP has multiple streams, each with their own set of requirements.

From your comment I understand that your company probably applied via the OINP Job Offer stream. Here is the link for the application information: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPWORKERS.html

Basically it's a 3 step process:
1- The employer submits a job pre-screening application to validate the the job offer and employer fits OINP requirements. (supposed to take 3 months but is usually 8-15 months, my company applied in Jan 2016 and it's still processing)
2- Once the job pre-screening is approved the applicant submits a nomination application to the province of Ontario. (This usually takes 3 months)
3- Once the applicant is nominated by the province of Ontario he/she has to submit a paper based PR application to the federal government. (The current processing time for this application is 16 months)

Almost everyone on this thread has applied via the OINP human capital priorities stream here is the link for the application information for that stream: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNP_EE_CAPITAL.html#display

With that being said, you haven't provided enough information to figure out which stream you guys are applying under. Here is a link to the main OINP website, please read up about the different streams and hopefully you'll be able to find the answers to your questions: http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/index.htm

Guys..please advise. I receiced ADR as below.

1. OINP requires that you possess sufficient funds supported by bank statements (that are unencumbered and readily transferable in a convertible currency) to cover settlement costs in Ontario, as set by Statistics Canada (LICO), see link for details: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp . In order to ensure that you still have access to sufficient settlement funds as reported last on March 22, 2016 please provide:

- Copies of your recent bank statements

2. OINP requires that you have a minimum of one year of continuous and full-time employment (1650 hours or more) or an equal amount in part-time paid work experience in a NOC 0, A or B occupation in Canada in the past five years from the date of the PT notification of Interest from Ontario.
As per the information you listed in MyCIC profile, you have selected NOC 1111 Financial Auditors and Accountants as your main NOC, however this code matches work experience with xxx. From Aug 2000 to July 2003 which is out of the required period of past five years from the date of the PT notification of Interest from Ontario ( NOI) – Dec 23, 2015.

- Should you select a new NOC, which applies to your work experience in the past 5 years from NOI: Dec 23, 2011 to Dec 23, 2015 please submit confirmation that you have updated your MyCIC profile accordingly (i.e. EE profile number if different, screenshot of NOC selected, etc.).

Please provide the requested documents as soon as possible.

I have recently I.e a week back sent recent bank statements and a bank letter and FD receipt to show the same. I have sufficient funds. Does the above mean I need to sent this again. I am confused. The bank letter states the total balance of both my FD and SB accounts.

For work exp..the one they mentioned is just on record however there are other two which I have mentioned and very much continuous,full-time,within five years and all. The only issue is that the primary NOC mentioned can be incorrect which according to me can be 1114. Currently primary noc is 1112. Can I change it and attach the copies of my ref letters sent earlier.
Also I see they are asking about work ex in Canada..whereas I am fsw outland

Do I need to make the docs certified true copy again and sent it to them?

In regards to work experience, similar thing happened to me. They want you to go to your EE profile and change your primary NOC to reflect the experience accepted by OINP (at least one year full time in the last 5 years). It doesn't matter if you have mentioned it in your application, the corresponding NOC needs to be your primary NOC as well. Do that, email OINP the screen shot of this change along with an LOE explaining the change you made. It worked for me, anyway. Good luck!

Thanks Maribui,
So if I understand this correctly.. I need to change the primary NOC and the NOC related to the last five year criteria and send dem screen shots along with a letter of explanation. Right?
I am wondering why they did not mention the relevant NOC in their ADR? They could have said NOC does not match with roles or something like that.

You did say you have two other experiences that meet their requirement, right? So you should be fine. Just choose one of them and update your EE profile to reflect this change in primary NOC and let OINP know you made this change. I don't think they mean your NOC doesn't match your roles. As I understand it, you have experience in different NOCs, do you not? Unless you have listed all of your experiences under the same NOC. In that case, you might want to look for a more appropriate NOC for your eligible experience and change it accordingly. I hope this helps.

Ok it's like this.. Primary NOC is 1112,
exp from 2007 to 2013 is under 1112
Exp from 2003 to 2007 is under 1212
Exp from 2000 to 2003 is under 1111

Now my agent put this all where as according to me the primary NOC and the one from 2003 to 2013 should have been 1114. The 1111 NOC doesn't count as it's over 10years.

So can I change it now to 1114 and let them know accordingly.

But you see, the letter from OINP mentions you chose NOC1111 as your primary NOC on your EE profile, which would make you ineligible. If I were you, I would update your profile to NOC 1112 as the primary NOC. If you still feel NOC 1114 better reflects your experience (main duties should be very similar to NOC discription as mentioned in your ref letters), then perhaps you could change it, but it doesn't seem that OINP is concerned about that, rather than the lenght and period of your experience under primary NOC.

Any thoughts, seniors?

Thats exactly what I am concerned about. My EE profile clearly states primary NOC as 1112 and not 1111. And also the other mistake is they mentioned about work ex in Canada whereas I am FSW.

I am right now clueless as to what should i amend in EE, and to add to my woes.. my profile is expiring on 5th March. I wish I could create another profile with the right details and sent along a LOE for everything.

yes change it to 1114 and it will be fine. they just want you to do that and confirm by changing it to your profile.
