OINP Program updates

November 28, 2016

On November 14, 2016, Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced changes to the Express Entry System. These changes take effect on November 19, 2016. The changes include:

Awarding Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points to those who have completed high school-level or higher education in Canada,
Lowering CRS points awarded for those with job offers, and
Lengthening the time candidates have to submit an application for permanent residence after they receive an invitation to apply.
Please visit the IRCC website for details about the changes to Express Entry.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has two streams that are used in conjunction with the Express Entry system: the Human Capital Priorities Stream and the French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. To qualify for these streams you must have successfully submitted a profile for the Express Entry system, and maintained your eligibility for Express Entry throughout the processing of your OINP application.

Those who have applied to the Human Capital Priorities Stream must also maintain a CRS score of 400 or above during the processing stage(s) of their OINP application, and during the subsequent federal Express Entry processing stages.

Please note that the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration has placed a temporary pause on the intake of applications for the Human Capital Priorities Stream. However, all applications received before the pause will be processed to completion.

Request senior folks feedback on below:

Hi Folks,

Need your help on below point of additional document request.

Copies of all the payslips that you received from your employers during the entire period of your employment with them (all payslips for each pay period);

I have total of 8 years of experience and worked for 4 companies. Now I have 18 months payslips from my current employer but for all previous employers I have maximum of 6 months payslips.

How should I justify my case to OINP case officer- RM.

Please guide me.

My solution to the problem will be as under:

1. Furnish whatever pay slips you have.
2. Dig with your previous employers for salary slips and see what you can get.
3. Provide them with your bank statements highlighting salary transfers.
4. For salary in cash you can provide them with a letter from the employer explaining that salary was paid in cash from x to y period.
5. Write a Letter of Explanation and explain them the entire thing and preferably have it notarized. Indians and Pakistanis can use Stamp paper for that matter.

I think it should serve the purpose.

Adeel

ADR: 24th November
Docs Sent: 27th November
Docs received acknowledgment email: 29th November

Hi,

Who among you have the same officer as mine? My officer's initial is SB and I have not received acknowldgment after I sent the ADR. Thanks!

Has anyone been able to order duplicate WES report.
I have been trying since past 4 days, it gives a message saying "Due to system maintenance, you will not be able to order duplicate reports at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience."

Is anyone else facing the same issue?
A note on the page says 'Reports are sent within one (1) business day." So am I good? I have time till 7th Nov to send additional docs.
