Hello ,

Thank you for your help @Bestofluck.

Do you mean I should reply back to Ontarionominee@ontario.ca ? I am not sure I have a copy of the DD.

The OINP address I was given on the email is:

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program
Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade Government of Ontario
400 University Ave., 5th Floor
Toronto, ON, M7A 2R9
Tel: 416.327.0374
Fax: 416.327.0860

The draft should be for "Ontario Minister of Finance” right?

FEYA

Even if you dont have copy , just email them immediately. Just tell them that you confirm your address and they should send the expired DD on the same.
If you have DD details bank's name DD number you provide or else its okay. The mail should be from the mail ID you recd AOR.
The address is perfect.
The Draft name is also perfect check amount should be exactly 1500 CAD.
Check the validity this time. Ask them to give maximum possible.

Guys, Good luck for today.

Yesterday wasn't that joyful.

Received OINP REJECTION LETTER :(

App Sent: 8th Jan 2016
App Deadline: 18th Jan 2016
Rejection Reason: 1 day late (received 19th Jan 2016)
Postal Verification: Delivered 18th Jan (on time)

I'm so angry, from what I'm reading on this forum it seems like they're looking for excuses to reduce their work load.

Has anyone gone through the RECONSIDERATION process for a incorrectly denied OINP application???
Any advice/help greatly appreciated.
TIA ;)

You can certainly ask for reconsideration. As a warning, it's not at all uncommon for both postal and courier companies to record wrong delivery dates (I've seen this happen more times than I can name - sometimes they are off by several days). So unfortunately postal verification is actually not very good proof that your package was delivered on the 18th. But again, you can certainly try. Good luck.

I agree with you. Since they think they've already reached the limit on the total number, now they're just trying to find all kinds of excuses to reject some unlucky ones. In this way, they can both reduce their work load and make sure the final total number of Ontario nominees is within the limit.

Because the May 9th is just an estimated cut off date, they have actually no knowledge of the exact number of applications they have on hand...

I certainly do agree that Ontario right now is not being lenient at all and it is because of the work load that they have - they received more applications than expected. I wish you the best of luck and really hope they will reconsider your case.

oh thats bad ... i was under the impression that they have already scrutinized the application of January and there will be no more rejections .

This wait is killing ..

This is absolutely worst act from them. Do we need wait 6 months for approval/rejection. They should have put the initial screening processes for this.

Their 416.327.0374 always direct me to the mailbox today. Anyone got more luck today?

I had same issue. I deleted the profile accidentally and had to send all docs (same as you did) related new profile. My original application sent on Jan 14th. I am still waiting for the reply from. Finger crossed. Let me know any updates.

What's the procedure for reconsideration, anyone? Do we just send an email to them?

I was also thinking of hiring a lawyer, would that help?

Have you tried calling them at 416-327-0374?

The best you can do is, drop in their office in Toronto if you live near by or ring them if you can't make it.
