Yes, I found it! It says "Update express entry information". Will it work? If I do that, will it send the registration details to CIC to activate the profile? I am just so worried it will stuff up! Have you tried this way?

Yes it will, I had one try out of EE account which i filled in too soon and it became ineligible within a day. When making the new one I have used that option and 3 days later I have recieved Ontario PT. So that option definetly Works.

So my new EE profile is currently inactive and I just want it to be activated and in order to do that I need to either link or create a new JobBank registration. I am past additional documents request stage (unless they come back with additional requirements) so I really don't want it to stuff up at this point!!! Given the "advanced technology" that exists in the universe, I really have a very low level of confidence in their IT systems.

It takes a day for the pending status to convert into accepted . Mine happened the same way so don't be worried.

When did you create? It takes around 24 hours to get activated.


A copy of the letter you have received from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada acknowledging your new profile. This letter lists your new Express Entry and Job Seeker Validation Code ( 4 digits).
· A letter explaining why you updated your profile. Include an explanation of additional or updated information you provided in your new Express Entry profile.

I've just renewed my EE profile as well. Got the "Acceptance into the Pool" letter after linking the new profile on JobBank, but the status of the profile is Pending. Will be waiting for 24 hours just like you. Fingers crossed it all works well. Good luck!
