Hello all,

I have a question, from page 179, where the status says "nominated" does this mean they have received the 600 points? If not what does it mean?

Thanks

Nominated means the province has indicated its willingness to nominate the applicant. Now whether the applicant wants to accept it or not fully depends on him/her. If the applicant accepts the nomination, then 600 points gets added to his/her CRS.

I understand. That's excellent news nominations are happening so quickly!

So if they accept how long will it then take to receive the points do you think

Ideally, the points get added immediately or within 24 hours. Mine took 5 days, for some SINP applicants it took more than 2 weeks (system glitch).

Wow- so fast!

So after the points are received do you get nominated within the next month on MyCiC to apply for PR?
Once 600 points are added to your CRS you will be eligible to receive an invite in the next round of invitation. Currently, there is a draw once every 2 weeks. Once the applicant gets an invite to apply for permanent residence, he will have 60 days to submit an online application with supporting documents. Post submission, its takes on an average 6-8 months for PR application to be approved (provided all requirements has been met).

If you are talking about the overview.. Those nominations are cec applicants with expiring work permits.
Its def NOT speedy for fsw applicants.. Look at my timeline and weep..

Hi Guys,
I got AOR last month and I had 447 points.
But today my express entry application updated today and my points are updated as 460 today. But I am going to complete two years of work experience in September and it's only August now I don't know why they updated now.
I checked my submitted application I put my start date of work as September 9/14.
The only thing I put in August was when they asked me question that when I was eligible to work as registered nurse in Ontario I wrote August because I got licensed as registered nurse in August /14.
It's really confusing anyone else had same situation. Please advise is this anything I should be worried or not.
Thanks.

Yes, the system updates the score based on months rather than the number of days for calculation of a year. Nothing to be worried about.

Even I got this update today. My points were updated from 410 to 435. Nothing to worry about - Its their system that is faulty. However, even if you do get ITA before you "actually" complete X years experience, do not apply because your application will be rejected for not satisfying the criteria. Wait till you "actually" complete X years and then apply.

Hi guys,

I received my pre-aor mail on 22nd july 2016 & since then I haven't heard anything from OINP.

OINP app was delivered on 20th jan 16.

Is this normal or should I mail OINP & wake them up?

Thanks

Hi mvd,

Looking at the summary table (you can find it back on page 179), it seems there is no need to worry because only a few people from 20. January onward got their AOR. I would wait a bit more before contacting them, hope this week brings AOR to many January applicants.

Cheers
