I have received an employer-specific OINP Nomination and have submitted my PR application under the OINP Foreign Worker Stream (non-express entry category), which is currently being processed by IRCC. My intention is to remain with my current nominated employer until the PR process is completed.
However, I have recently received a job offer from another Ontario-based employer, who plans to initiate a new LMIA and closed work permit application for me.
Could you kindly advise if this application would pose any potential conflict with my ongoing PR application process and OINP Nomination?

I don't understand why the second employer is initiating an LMIA and closed work permit if you plan to remain with your nominated employer until the PR process is complete. Once the PR process is complete and you are a PR, you will be free to work for any employer without a work permit.

Thank you scylla for your response.
I wanted to have a backup option with a second employer's LMIA and work permit in case my PR application encounters unexpected delays, gets stuck, or is rejected. Having this LMIA and work permit ready would allow me to switch to a new job if needed and reapply for PR, though I understand this would be a difficult process. My main concern was whether initiating this LMIA and work permit could create any conflict with my current PR process.
