No need to be pessimistic. It will reopen with modifications. I suggest you keep up with official Canada's news instead of using inappropriate scare tactics.

How does what you posted have any relevance to OINP whatsoever?

Hi everyone

I'd really like to write about what it means to you that Ontario closed the PNP for MA's and PhD's so early this year. I've written about all the problems with international student immigration quite a bit. Please get in touch today - on deadline - Simona Chiose.

schiose@globeandmail.com

Thanks!

Hi Everyone,

Simona from The Globe and Mail has done a great job and question some of officials regarding Ontario PNP. So Now we are expecting 7000 applications for 2017 beside the new system is online.

Two things everyone in this forum can do:

1) sit back and wait for PNP stream opening net year.

2) Wait for Ministry to do something for International Master (miserable) graduates program survival

Where do you get that in the article? It says they have a backlog of 7000 applicants, half of which is grad students and the other half is express entry pnp applicants. Nobody know by when these will be processed.

Hello everyone,
I have some confusion regarding my options to get the PR based on total processing time from application date to getting a PR card.

My Profile:- Masters Graduate in Ontario, got work permit March 2017, Started working full time in April 2017 as Jr. Quality Manager. Oct 2017 I switched my job (Jr. Program Manager) and the company so the NOC codes are different for both roles.
IELTS Overall 7.5 - L8.5 R7.5 W6.5 S8.0

I applied to the OINP Masters stream on October 25th 2017, I am not sure what the whole process steps are and timelines to expect. Can anyone tell me how many steps to expect in OINP and approximate time for each level?

Also, can I consider my both experiences to cover the 1 year for the express entry and apply under CEC in April 2018? Which option would be quicker and most efficient to get the PR Card?

Since they will continue to accept applications from Foreign Worker and International Student with a Job Offer applicants as Employer Pre-screen applications are assessed, my safest advice is for you to use this stream if you have a job offer and have met the criteria for this stream. You probably have to act fast.

For other options available for you (if any at all), maybe a senior member with more experience could offer an expert advice.
Hi there respected member, do you think oinp masters graduate stream might get closed forever, considering so many applicants apply for this. What is your view on this,
please

Just had a quick qiery: guys anyone can answer. It is a very difficult sutuation for a friend.

A person lived, studied worked in Ontario for 4years (but because of certain reason had to come back. This question is regarding a female friend). Now she is planning again but now she wont get pgwp. But masters stream might give her PR. She stayed in bc for 6 months and has connection with community. She stayed in Ontario for 4 years and has more connections thru PT work, employer, friends etc. Which is better for her for PR? Bc pnp international post graduate stream Or Oinp masters stream. Both want conections and ties with community, and a degree. Getting degree is fine , can be done thru proper financing and selection (loa) . But connection and ties to community is important too. Do you think ircc checks past-past history and involvement with the community (with the masters degree and the residence while studying). If yes, then i feel oinp would be better for her cuz she lived there for 4 years. Please do suggest something. BC is good for her too, cuz she has lived there as well. But what if the bc pnp says she has ties with ontario too and thus no chance!). Confused, please guide with opinions and your views. ((((
