Please help with information,

If I re-create my profile now with 401 points to be elegible for OINP,

but end of July 2016 (seven months from now), on my birthday I will lose both FSW and CSR points,

will I encounter problems?

OINP states "you must maintain" 400+ points, (and I believe 67 FSW) points until PR is issued.

Thank you. your advise appreciated

If you lose 5 points because of age problems, then its still acceptable by oinp provided you have submitted your application and have received AOR for your OINP application before your ate changes.

I guess applicants have to maintain atleast 400 point during opnp process.

I am still not sure...

Dont want to take a risk on one hand with OINP, on the other hand
if I get ITA due to drop in points in the draws, then I should be fine- safest bet.

But OINP clearly states to maintain CRS points of 400+ until end of processing.

It's really frustrating. Anyone have any proof that age factor would not be a problem with OINP?

I would be so very grateful as like all, I would love to immigrate.

Thank you for your time and effort.

Many applicants i know on this forum have got Nomination from OINP even though there age changed resulting in there CRS dropping below 400 but still OINP issued them a nomination and they all got ITA and submitted there PR applications.

Rest if your decision that if you are comfortable with submitting application to OINP or not.

I don't agree guys. It clearly states that we must main 400 CRS throughout the whole process. It's part of the eligibility criteria CIC looking at to reach the final.decision. Rafzy is correct its your decision whether you submit your application or not. Lets wait for others have to say especially those already got their PPR with less than 400 points. I know it sucks knowing that you already got 600 points when you got the nomination but have to maintain the 400 points for the PR process.

4. Express Entry Ranking: All applicants must score a minimum of 400 points in the Comprehensive Ranking System in CIC’s Express Entry system. Your score must remain at or above 400 during both the Ontario nomination processing stage and at the federal application for permanent residency processing stage. See Section 7.2 for further information.

I think you shoukd go through the group called "OOPNP-Acknowledgment Received" here on this forum.
Hundreds of people have discussed every possible scenario you can think of about OINP applocation.
There you will also find this age factor issue i told you before.

rafzy is right guys.

If you apply when you score above 400, the ONLY thing they will pardon you with is if your age drops. It's basically the same with EE, they lock the age you apply (cos they know the application can take long, which is not under your control).
However, any other thing such as marriage, expired language tests, divorce etc...that affects your CRS score has to be reported and they will drop you if your score falls below 400.

My reason above, may not be exactly why they allow the age to slide, but that's the way they do it. Many ppl have confirmed on this forum.

Hi,

My timeline as follows,

CRS : 406
App Received by OINP : 11th Jan 2016
AOR : 13th Jul 2016
Additional Doc Requested : 15th Nov 2016
Additional Doc Submitted : 21st Nov 2016
Nomination : Still Waiting

My question is that my IELTS expiring on Dec 13th, 2016. I took an IELTS on Nov 19th, 2016. However the result was not favorable as expected. I received as follows, L-8.5, R-8.5, W-7.0, S-6.0 where my speaking has dropped to CLB 7 and now I'm in a situation where my points will drop below 400. In this case should I notify OINP to withdraw my application or is there any excuse as I'll be taking the exam again in January'17 and in case if I obtain a CLB 9 in all modules and can I continue with my old application? It's really frustrating after waiting for one year, I now have to withdraw my nominee application for one band in single module. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

You will have to withdraw your application because OINP will ask for your fresh IELTS and expiring date is so near so you will not get nomination. You should have started to retake your IELTS 3-4 months before that would have given you 2 shots of acheiveing the desired results

Thanks,
I was in a similar situation last month. I asked a lot of people for advise, and finallly decided to give the IELTS anyway on Nov 19, although the results came on Dec 2. My IELTS was expiring on Nov 21. But, I updated my profile with a previous IELTS score which took myscore to 399... I wrote a LOE to them explaining my situation....I gave 3 IELTS between Aug and Nov this y ear, and finally got CLB 10+ in the Nov 19 one. I quickly updated on Dec 2, and mailed them once again. I think being honest about your situation, is important. Also, I mentioned that the delays in processing have led partially to this situation...so hope they accept my application. Still waiting for a revert from them.

Best of luck...

Thanks much for your response. My case is quite complicated as the officer has already looked into my file and asked for the additional documents. In the ADR although she didn't ask for new IELTS result, she mentioned that your IELTS is getting expired by Dec 13, 2016 and you need to have a valid IELTS result at the time of submission of your documents to CIC once you are invited.

Do you feel it's better to write them asking for extension of time and will they accept it or rject it straight away? I don't know what to do now! It's a lesson for me to wait till the last moment to retake the exam paying a huge price by the means of time and money.

Have you heard anyone being rejected for this reason? Btw, have you been contacted for ADR as you seem to be an early February applicant?

Thanks,

Well, considering that they have already seen your file, and are aware of your IELTS expiring on Dec 13...it should be okay to give the exam again (at the earliest, of course)...I don't think there is any need to ask for an extension, cos they are already aware of your IELTS situation and have asked you to keep a valid IELTS ready for CIC submission....however, if it bothers you, keep them informed, so they can't hold it against you at a later stage...most of the time, they don't even acknowledge your mails...

And no, I have not got an ADR yet, nor have they acknowledged my mail informing them of my IELTS expiring, and second mail with the new IELTS score...

Most people have had the chance to update IELTS scores long before OINP started processing our Jan/Feb /MArch applications and some have even got nominated??

So, good luck...crack the IELTS neXt time...
