Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Dear Members,

I received OINP letter of interest. I am a Mechanical Engineer and since it is a regulated occupation in Ontario. I need a certification for the same.
Can it be arranged in about 40 days.
Any feed back from Mechanical engineer who went through the process of getting certification will be great.
And will this (getting certification) be the requirement for going through ITA as well?

Your response is highly appreciated.
Also do we need to submit Medicals as well while submitting application for OINP?

Best Regards,
Omsaiom

Are you in Canada, working in that field? If you are not in Canada working in the field, you do not need the license (I assume that is what you meant).

My profession is regulated and am outside Canada, it is not needed until you get there.

You don't need Medicals for OINP. You need medicals AFTER you have been nominated as your PR application requires it with Police certificates from all countries you have lived since 18.

Hope this helps.

I disagree.
Occupations on the NOC that require mandatory licensing applies to everyone regardless of if you're inland or outland.
What I advise OP to do is try and get licensing or change to another NOC - e.g. Mechanical Technician NOC 2232

That's interesting. I am a teacher and I did not require a licenses. We are not talking about having the right qualification ... the license is different.

I am correct, read page 11 of the OINP link below.

If you visit the link given there, than it explains how to obtain the license if you are not staying in Canada.
I think I saw teacher as regulated profession. I would suggest to visit the link again and make sure of license requirement.
