OINP - international student with job offer updates?

Hi guys,

I am looking for your help. Is there a specific forum that talks and gives updates regards to OINP international student with job offer stream? All the topics I can find for OINP are all about masters stream or the PT nomination so I am a bit struggled to find people who have same situation as me.

Just a few info about me: My employer supported me for OINP international student with job offer stream and we sent in the application back in March 09, 2016. Got AOR on May 09, 2016. Right now we are still waiting for Pre-screen result. It has been 5 months now and I am really worried. Is any one waiting for pre-screen assessment result as well?

My employer submitted Pre-Screen application in Feb 2016.

When my employer contacted OINP, they said my pre-screen application is in 2nd stage.

thank you so much for the reply! Good to know that I am not the only one waiting for the pre-screen result... Seems like OINP has been really slow with international student with job offer especially for the pre-screen part.

Does 2nd stage means they are assessing it?

Hopefully we can all hear good news soon.

Hi roger122,

This is the response my employer got from OINP "Please be advised that our records indicate the file referenced is at the second stage of processing, pending review by an Investigator Analyst. ".

They mentioned "Pending Review" so I am expecting the file will be reviewed once they move earlier applications to next (3rd) stage.

To be realistic, I am expecting the decision would be made by year end or in 1st quarter of next year.

Hi I want to apply once will be open con November . Do you know when I must pay the 1500 fees? Before employers pre screen por after. ? Who pays me? I heard one guy that his company pay it. Its true? Thanks

The fee is for the application that the prospective nominee submits, not the employer pre-screen.
The pre-screen has no fee associated, and the fee for the nominee's application can be paid by either the employee or employer.

I have one year of work experience from my home country and Ontario master's degree, Can I apply for express entry and OINP at the same time?

Which one is better for me, To apply for OINP first and then express entry or both at the same time??

Hi ibk,

You can apply for both at the same time.

To apply for OINP master graduate (Whenever it is open) you have to provide DD for 1500$. This fee is non-refundable.
