Nope, DIP means that they are deciding if they will give you the Nomination Letter or if they will ask for more information or explanation about something you are saying. For example: they can ask your employer to prove their annual revenue.
 
If everything is ok and they decide to approve your application, DIP is the last stage before receiving the Nomination Letter. After receiving the nomination letter, we still need to apply for Permanent Residence through IRCC website (non-express entry process).

Mine has been on DIP for 2months and i am wondering why is taking too long. any advice from your end? Thanks in anticipation.

I am still on assessment stage since 31st. My application also included my family. It could be the reason take longer time.
 
You are close. I made an average of some people from this forum, who received their ITA in February and March, and the number was 21 days from DIP to receive the nomination. Of course, there are cases where the person took several months, and others only a few days. But this was the average of non extreme cases
