No, they visit you regardless. I had just renewed my passport a month back. they still made their enquiry to give clearanceSo for people whose passport address is same as the one for PCC no police visit right?

Exactly. I did it now because post ITA we have a lot other paperworks. I did not want to take unnecessary tension. Whatever requires the govt paper works is better to get it done asap.My agent told me that one of the clients took 2 months to get one cause of delays in processing. The appointments are so delayed, I cant get one for PCC for 3 weeks at least. Also the whole reason to get one early is that it's valid for 6 months. It will be valid till December. ITA should hopefully happen much earlier than that. No harm in getting it early. Lot of issues if its late though.
Post ITA actually isnt the paperwork less now that we have already done majority of it for PNP ? I mean yes there is still a lot but I feel we completed 70% of it for OINP already.Exactly. yea, but don't you have to repeat them? like bank letters & the current organization reference letter should be recent right? and you have medicals too correct?Post ITA actually isnt the paperwork less now that we have already done majority of it for PNP ? hmm current organisation might need to be new. so does bank statements and financial stuff. Medicals is one day. For pnp thought I had to change formats to get approvals for reference letters and bunch of other documents Again and again. Took me more than 4 weeks to get everything right. Now I just need newer dates on everything so hopefully it will be easier now.yea, but don't you have to repeat them? like bank letters & the current organization reference letter should be recent right? and you have medicals too correct?
right, we had a practice now. so it will be easier now but still the wait time to get those docs are going to be the same. At least to get it from my org.hmm current organisation might need to be new. so does bank statements and financial stuff. Medicals is one day. Can u please explain the whole process of getting pcc in detail in india..thanksI got mine... You can apply now as it is taking anywhere upto 15-20 days
Yeah I also have some mixed info here. But I think it very much depends on the police station. With police in India you never really know what to expect. Also, I have asked some other people but they mentioned that police does not come for verification at address for PCC. Can anyone else guide?
You have to apply for PCC online through passport seva kendra and pay Rs 500 for appointment. You have to carry your passport and other ID proofs (if applicable) to the PSK on the day of your appointment. The usual process in the counters A,B & C. Once this is done, a request will be sent to the police station. Can u please explain the whole process of getting pcc in detail in india..thanks

Now, am not sure how it works in other places. Some mention that you will have to visit the police station with docs.
However, for me the police called up on the same day to ask for my availability. They visited my address after 7 days though. They verified my original IDs and asked for photo copies of Aadhar & 2 passport size photos. Enquired about my duration of stay, my employment and previous address history. I was asked to sign in the ledger.
Then after 8 days, I got my PCC hard copy via post.
I think it really depends on your city/state how the police handles passport matters. If you do not receive any calls from them for a week then you can go to the station with your documents and check the process with them I guess.
Well my address is same, anyway will see when the PCC things get done.I think police visit will happen regardless. Just that you dont need the two to match and documents will be different. Passport is for 10 years. Cant expect the address to be the same for 10 years.
