Hi,

Me and my common law partner unexpectedly got the invite fron Ontario and plan to apply for that. I am the main apllicant and I got some headaches about proof of funds. I'll try to explain our situation :

- A month ago we had more than 15000$ on our Canadian accounts which is enough for 2 of us.
- 2 weeks ago my partner flew back home and took some cash from our CA accounts and deposited the same amount of cash on his account back home. And now I don't have enough funds on my CA account for proof of funds, but if we add the amount he deposited on his account at home we should be fine. So basically we have enough funds, but on different accounts in 2 countries.

Do you think that getting both accounts bank statements for the last 6 months and explaining the thing my partner did with transfering cash should be enough to prove the funds? Any advice appreciated!

Thank you!

Since the money is not in your account now. You need to get a gift deed letter from ur friend to prove to VO that this money is not a loan and indeed a gift money from your friend which needs not to be returned anytime.
If you can prove to vo that money was transferred to your friends account, then its also the bext option

Thank you. But it's my spouse that transfered it from our acc, not just a friend :). So basically it's our money.

In that case, you just need to attach a letter of authorization from your spouse that she has no problem with you using the money. You can then also attach account statements from both of your accounts highlighting the transfer from one account to other.

This option is only in case you are the principle applicant. Also becuase CIC wants the money under the name of principle applicant.

The other option you can do is to add your name with in your spouse account with her name as this will be a more reliable thing in the eyes of CIC.

Good luck with your application :)
