Any ray of hope ??
I believe it means that OINP applications already submitted have a chance to get nominated in 2017 itself. Good luck fellow OINPians!

It means that 347 lucky ones will receive nomination by the end of this year. This will be among the HCP people who have submitted this round, probably after the remaining July/August applicants and the Master's and PhD graduates have been nominated. After all that, I don't think there will be enough for them to issue more NOIs in 2017. Some of us HCP people who submitted this round will likely not be nominated until January 2018. And they should issue fresh NOIs in January, given that the 2018 quota will be in effect, and all 2017 NOIs will have expired.
On October 10, 594 nominations were left. One month later they have 347 nominations balance, which means they issued around 250 nominations in the last month.
Since they didn't focus much on HCP in October and started accepting new applications for Master's and PHD stream from October 12, in my opinion out of the 250 nominations issued in the last month they would have approved most of the Masters and PHD applications.
Therefore the current nomination balance quota of 347 may well include all those waiting in DIP and PFL applicants as well as new applications accepted after November 2nd.
Lets hope all of us get nominated within the year 2017. Needless to mention that any pending applications of 2017 will be issued nomination in Jan 2018 which is infact also mentioned in their 2nd November update.

To all the people worrying about Ontario's website, it sometimes is down for maintenance work (usually over the weekends), so no need to worry about it, if your deadline is approaching, you can contact them directly on their given email, however, they might not reply to any technical support messages.
