Hi,

I'm trying to determine if I am eligible for OINP. I and my husband have incorporated a company 6 years ago, and I have been working for the company for the past 6 years. Do you think this is considered as paid work?

Thank you very much in advance.

Yes, you're self employed and that's perfectly valid albeit it's a pain to prove your duties as you'll need to submit very specific invoices and/or sworn statements from your clients. But it's possible to do yes!

Guys.. can anyone help me out? I have submitted my Master's stream PNP a week back.. after that i got my NOI to apply for Human Captial in my EE profile. Can i be able to submit another profile? Or should i cancel my Masters stream to apply for Human Capital..??

When did you receive the NOI?

Will the 2nd or third province that I appled for know that I already applied for the first province?

If so, will all my applications for PNPs that I had applied for get cancelled?

1. Some provinces to request to answer the question (if you have applied in other PNP program before) when sending your application. In that case it is advisable to answer it correctly. But not all might do that.
2. if the nominations are under EE, you can only accept one nomination. Once you accept one the others could not be accepted anymore. However even if other provinces would see it, it is still advisable to send request for withdrawal.
3. If some PNP are paper based while others are for EE. You are technically able to use 2 PNP and fill in 1 paper based application and one EE application. Now doing that will cost you both PNP.
Why, because accepting PNP in EE or sending one in paper based application (in that case you need to fill in Schedule 4), is an act where you clearly state your intention to reside in that province. Doing that for 2 different provinces is contradicting.
From my notes now, I am very sure, that they do check any previous information about you in the system. So they will find out.
The only proper way how to solve such situation (where you have one application running on federal level with 1 province, but you want to apply with a different province PNP is first to withdraw the first application).

And provinces do share their lists of PNP nominees with federal side (again I could see that from my notes).

not sure about it... but there is no harm in recreating.. mine was just 2 months old then too i did it
thnks. Recreating means withdrawing existing one and create a new app?.

Another question I have is if I say my spouse not accompanying to Canada I get 437 points, can I create profile like this. Possible explanation to VO will be that I would first like to find job in Canada and then sponsor my family, is this right thing to do? Pl note my wife has got her Wes and ielts. Thnks for help.

you already submit a Master stream, why would you bother again to submit another one under Human Capital stream? \

Hi,

First of all, thank you for the details. These are really helpful.

I have a query, my CRS score is 406 but I have not got the invitation from OINP yet. Also, I have 4 years of experience in Actuarial domain in India. I have done my masters in the same field.

I understand that they have their own criteria of chosing the candidates.

Please can you help me and share the information if there is anything I can do from my behalf to increase the chances of getting the invite?

Would you advice if I should recreate the profile in Express entry?

Thanks
Rishab

Guys,

So, OINP has listed 'Current Resume' as requirement. Do I have to list down all of my professional experiences including job/roles I am not claiming points for or only the work experience I have listed in my EE profile?

P.S. I am not claiming points for my current role and few of previous roles. I have only listed and claiming points for a job I did for 3 years and that falls under single NOC code.

My CRS score is 432 and my profile is 11 months old.
Job code - 0122
Inspite of score of 432 I have not yet received nomination from ONIP.
Can some clarify if I should re-create new profile or just wait for Nomination from ONIP.

One important suggestion is to mention that candidates need to complete atleast 1 year work experience during the last 5 years on the day they receive the PT NOI from Ontario.
You can revise Note 5 as below:

Note 5: You should have atleast 1 year work experience in the last 5 years on the date you receive the PT Notification of Interest from Ontario.

One question: does that "at least 1 year of work experience" mean "IN CANADA"? Thanks guys

No,
It just means 1 year of work experience anywhere around the world. As long as it meets the criteria - NOC type 0, A, B; paid work experience and for certain min. amount of hours per year.

Hello Guys,

I work with an MNC, and can only get reference letter from the online tool of my company.
We don't get any stamped letters but a digitally signed letter from HR.

The main issue is that, it only mentions your name, designation, date of joining and date of relieving/currently working but it doesn't provide any details regarding Roles and Responsibilities and its strictly written in the company website that only this information will be provided for reference letter and nothing else.

is there any way around and does CIC entertain that ?

Will highly appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

Hi All,

I am new to Canada Immigration, and could really use an answer specific to my case..
I am 30 year old IT professional residing in US with my H1B.
I am married and my wife is with me here in US, with all these Trump issues, I want to migrate to Canada for peace of mind.

I have given my IELTS general - R 9, L 8.5, W 7 and S 7.5
Also I have got my WES evaluated as 4 year Canadian equivalent. My Wife has also given IELTS and WES done.

I have created my CIC profile and my Score is 425.I know this score is not sufficient.
So, I need to know what should I do to get Canadian PR. I havent got any letter or invitaiton for OINP or from anyother state.

Can somebody please briefly guide me , what should I do??

Thanks A ton in Advance.
