Hello Raj,
I seem to remember that you once discussed spouse work experience. Some other members mentioned it as well. What I have understood from these discussions is that it's better to leave out spouse's work experience in EE profile and include it only in e-APR. Did i understand correctly?
Does it mean that I should reply "No" to the question on EE profile where it asks about spouse's work experience?

Kindly help me understand so that if required I can remove this info prior to nomination.

Dependent's work experience does not give you any points unless it was gained in Canada. You can leave this out of your EE profile. Once you get your ITA, retain this information only in the personal history section and keep it out of the work history section. This way, you would not have to submit any documentation for it.

Hi Guys

I am waiting for OINP to reopen again for 2017 intake for the Human Capital Priorities Stream. I have a doubt regarding proof of funds.

I am the principal applicant where as my wife will be the accompanying spouse member.

I need to show around 9 lakhs indian rupees if i get PT notification from ontario.

I have about half of the money in my account in india ,whereas, the other half is in a account owned solely by my wife in the form of 2 FDs and remaining as cash.


My question is, Is it it ok to show funds in my spouse's account in the form of cash or FD's on her name or do i need to add my name in that account as a joint account holder for OINP application.

The funds can be in the name of the PA or as a joint account between the PA and accompanying spouse. I wouldn't recommend showing funds solely in the dependent's account. You can show savings balance, FDs or a combination of those. Cash in hand, no. You can deposit and then show them as POF.

Hi Raj,

I am just beginning to start my Post-ITA ( though I am yet to receive my ITA , hopefully in December ). I have a question on the Police Clearance certificate. CIC website says that you need to obtain the PCC from all territories where you have lived more than six months. I am now in Mumbai since the last 3 and half years and passport address shows my current residential address in Mumbai. Previous to this I was in Hyderabad. Now since I have to apply for PCC from Mumbai I will only get PCC from here. Do I have to apply for a PCC from Hyderabad also?. Also will they entertain my request since my passport district is Mumbai. Please help me get this clarified.

Get PCC from PSK (you can get it from your current place of residence as long as you have address proof - Check the PSK website for documents required). - This PCC is issued for the entire country. One country, One PCC.

Can you please guide me on the following issue?

I am currently in Canada and have an agent in India who has been working on my PR application. I recently received my PNP nomination from Ontario. I was unemployed during the PNP process and stated that on my application, and got a job a month ago (before the results came out). The contract is only until December. I had consequently asked my agent to update the application with my job details, but the agent said that since I don't have a reference letter yet, I should wait and add only later. I do want to add my job details after the result to both my application (without any letter) and my job bank account, although my agent suggests otherwise.

I haven't also been able to find an appropriate NOC category for my job. Will adding this information now affect my application or status in any way, can onip be withdrawn?

Well, no. Being unemployed during the application process (or even past employment for that matter) isn't going to affect the application. Do not provide unnecessary information on your profile/e-APR.

As long as you are still eligible under the program that you have applied for - you do not really need to include this in your profile, IMO.

Yes I would apply for PCC from my current residence from a PSK. Yes I have all the address proofs for the current address. I hope this is how you got your PCC - from the current residence location?.

Correct. The address on my PP is different from my current address. I went to the PSK close by my current address and submitted address proof for my current address. Police verification was done and then the PCC was issued.

Please also let me know if the pay stubs and contract letters are also to be attached with the reference letters.
The following were the requirements for OINP.

1. The reference letter should be printed in company letter head and should identify the company address, telephone/fax numbers,
email and website address.

2. Identify the responsible officer/supervisor and include his /her signature.

3. Stamped with company's corporate seal( if applicable.)

and should specify the following:

1. Employment period
2. Positions held, duties and responsibilities during the employment period for each position and the time spent in each position ( if applicable.)
3. Total annual salary plus benefits
4. Number of hours worked per week and
5. Any extended periods of Leave.

Additional documents required are

1. Contract Letters
2. Pay stubs.

1. Kindly use WES for obtaining ECA as it is preferred by majority of the applicants.
2. No one knows how OINP selects candidates above 400 CRS points. OINP might resume sending PT NOI from Jan 2017 onwards.

I know my question is a bit weird and would be grateful if somebody can clarify me. I was born in September 1986. Am I considered 30 years old now or 31 in the express entry system? Since age 31 has 5 CRS scores lower which can drop my score to 396 and I will lose my chance of receiving PT NOI. Thanks.

About me, the updated my CRS score and removed 5 points the day of my 30th birthday (Born on October 1986). The highger number of point you can have for age is up to 29 years old.

I know. Getting 30 will drop the score by 5 points. Considering this drop I have score 401 now. I was worried about losing another 5 points but noticed that there is not a problem.

Thanks. Everything was fine to open the profile but I just noticed that I need ECA to get points for my foreign education. Though, I have to wait to receive that first. No idea how long does it take for WES to process my application? Hope that I receive the ECA before the Human Capital Stream reopens.
