Hi Raj and folks,


Received two emails today from ExpressEntry@ontario.ca. My wife being the primary applicant. Her CRS score is 433.

Her timeline is as follows:

Aug'15: Sent her required docs in a package with CAD$1500 DD.
Sep'15: Received Ontario PT Notification Nomination
Dec'15: Received AOR
Oct'16: Received the email below.

Although I'm waiting for OINP to open in November, could I, in the meantime, send a paper-based application along with a DD of CAD 1500 to OINP anyways, and then wait for OINP to award me an additional 600 points to my current 438 points? Since harshilsm, according to the above post got email from OINP after a year, to update the DD payment, does this mean that sending a paper-based application will decelerate the process of getting PT notification from OINP and subsequent steps? Or, can an applicant send a paper-based application along with CAD 1500 at any point in time and wait for OINP to award them additional 600 points, IF all their supporting documents are OK?

Are we required to include an EOI/ letter of intent/ essay, explaining why and how we plan to settle in Ontario in the initial paper-based application package?

Doesn't work that way. You have to receive a PT NOI on your myCIC account from OINP. Only after you get the PT NOI, you are eligible to send an application to OINP. Do NOT send any application/bank draft before you get a PT NOI.

From OINP you mean? From the experiences I have read on the forum, the calls are mostly about roles and responsibilities. There might be other questions like "Why Canada" and the like.

Recommend you guys read the Nov and Dec threads as this is quite well explained there...

Basically you WAIT for it to expire then recreate it, much like your original profile, and then send the PDFs you get from CIC/IRCC in your MyCIC account along with your new profile number and job seeker code back to OINP explaining that your old profile expired and you've created a new profile and would like them to transfer your application to the new profile.

You won't hear back from them unless they require more documents to transfer your application and so if you don't get a confirmation don't worry assume all is OK.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my timeline here, I have 2 years of experience under CIC and waiting for PNP's decision. However I recently received a email on 06 OCT 2016, stating that my application is moved to the decision phase (DP), just wanted to know if anyone else has received an email like this? If yes how long did it take for them to Nominate you after that.
