IELTS CLB:Level 7 (actually L R W S 7 7 7 7 )
Profession:NOC 2211(Chemical technologists)
Education- PhD
Experience- 10 years
Spouse- Bachelors NOC 2173 (ICT) but lower CRS
Real Sister PR in Ontario


What are my chances of getting HCP NOI?

I got my Ontario nomination and ITA in the hcp stream in December and I just filed my application for the pr with cic under the fswp express entry program.. Any help or leads in understanding what the estimated wait period for this is would be much appreciated

I know I will get 406 with 8 7 7 7 but wanted to know if any possibility with current score. With 406 also I will need PNP only not direct ITA

It might be difficult for me to obtain 8 7 7 7 combo.

dear Pure Soul - did you try calculating the CRS keeping your spouse as primary? with her sibling in Canada there are chances of a better score. Additionally, it has been observed that applicants with sub 400 scores with ICT have been nominated. It all depends on OINP. Nomination cannot be ruled out. However please have your spouse appear for IELTS and improve scores. This is the best way to increase your CRS.

Yes my spouse can only get less than 300 CRS (ICT occupation) thats why I thought of making myself primary. Do we advantage of spouse occupation as well? Any chance for me with 352 CRS?

Update: I think I got it, your higher CRS is because of your young age , but I can't become young again

I think retaking ielts would help. and try to get an 8 in all ...or at least 2 of the sections. this would significantly improve your score perhaps even by 70 to 80 points. check crs scores for different combinations of LRWS and you'll be surprised the impact what the ielts scores would have on your overall CRS. All the best!

I dont think any degree below 1 year could get assessed & can increase points. A post graduate diploma must be of 1 year
