Sorry not clarifying, he wants to apply under FSWP EE or OINP, he is not in canada. He worked in the NOC for which he wants to claim work experience points from late 2013 to early 2016, in addition to work experience earlier. In the meantime, he had a break for post graduation and jobs in other NOC. So do you think he might qualify for OINP/ EE?

Is it necessary to account for each period of employment and unemployment in the application? Should it be done under Work history, or is there some kind of option for Personal history to account for same? Also if a person has period of unemployment, does he get less priority as OINP identifies candidates?

Seniors, please advise.
If he has a good CRS score, he will probably get ITA directly from CIC by opening EE profile. Anyway, he will be considered as FSWP, whether he gets ITA directly or for the OINP process. The gap itself is not important. The only important issue is:

Work experience should be continuous and just in one specific NOC for at least one year. If this condition is met, there are two options:

1- This one year work experience falls within the last ten years from the date he opens the EE profile (he will be eligible to open express entry profile).
2- This one year work experience falls within the last five years from the PT notification of Ontario. (in addition for express entry profile, he will also be eligible for OINP).

Hi There,

I have a query regarding OINP. Can you please confirm how much work experience is required for OINP after completing degree?

As per my MCA degree, I completed MCA in July,2012.

So, to be eligible for OINP Express Entry, how much experience do I need?

Please help.

Hello. You need at least one year continuous full-time work experience in just one specific NOC type 0,A or B,but it should be within last five years from receiving the PT notification.

67/100 is the minimum score to meet.

Hi All,

I went through the new HCPS guide but it doesn't specify the no. of days within which the online profile must be created for OINP. The guide mentions 30 days to accept nomination from Ontario and 90 days to submit application to IRCC. The previous guide stated 45 days to submit the application for OINP after receiving NOI from OINP.

Does anyone has an idea or reference for the days required to submit the online profile after getting NOI from Ontario?

Regards,
Sahil

A question on work experience points in OINP

Hi all,

I would be really grateful if you could help me with this. The OINP guide says that you have to have a minimum of one year experience in last five years. OINP conditions are as follows:

Work Experience
- at least one year (1,560 hours total) of continuous full-time (minimum of
30 hours/week for 12 months) or an equal amount in continuous part-time
(minimum of 15 hours/week for 24 months or 30 hours/week for 1
- within the last five years from the date of the Notification of Interest
from Ontario.

Points are awarded as follows:
Experience Maximum Points
1 year (minimum of 12 months) 9 points
2 to 3 years (24 to 36 months) 11 points
4 to 5 years (48 to 60 months) 13 points
6 or more years (72 months or more) 15 points

My situation:
I have a total experience of seven years in my last two jobs.
Current job:
Starting date: June 04, 2012 - Total countable complete years - 04 years
Last job:
Starting date: April 01, 2008- Date of leaving - October 31, 2011 - Total countable complete years - 03 years

I have an unemployment period of eight months between these two jobs.

Now my question is that am I eligible to claim work experience points for six years as stated above which are 15 points?

Thank you!

Hi guys,

I have a question. I am a PNP nominated candidate in CIC pool. If I decline my ITA, then will it effect my nomination or in other words will my points reduce?

Thanks in advance.

From CIC which occurs twice a month.
You mean you will ignore your ITA? If that happens, you might lose your Provincial nomination if it expire and therefore losing 600 points.

NO, I mean I will decline my ITA rather than accepting it.

did you accept your nomination? as far as i know you it remains valid for 6 months. So if you decline ITA now you can accept it later. Your points will not change. That's what i know, but better to wait for someone else to confirm.
