Hello Mikko, you have 45 days to send your application to OINP from the date you have received the invitation. You don't have to contact them to accept the invitation.

I think Raj can give a better answer for your other questions. I think the points will drop but no one knows how long will it take to go down to 441. If you have decided to move to Ontario you can send your application and i think you can show your uncle's details as ties in ontario.
Thanks SRI_BLR2016! It seems like waiting for the CRS cutoff points to be dropped to my level is the least feasible approach :D

Thanks for the info on this post man. It's been VERY helpful.

I just have a question. I want to apply through OINP - EE - Human Capital Stream - FSWP.

I have 2 years of work experience on NOC B but I will have my degree on November this year. My question is: Can I claim points for my prior 2 years work experience even though I didn't have the degree by that time? Does my work experience before getting my degree will be counted for claiming points? Or Is it MANDATORY to claim points for work experience ONLY AFTER I got my degree?

Thanks

Thank you so much for your analysis of my situations and the advices on how to make a compelling letter of intent! I think I'll wait for a week or two for BCPNP to give their first draw and see what's the real minimum invitation score for the first round of invitation. And if I didn't remember it wrong, an applicant can apply for multiple PNP programs from different provinces at the same time, but can only accept one nomination if multiple nominations are received, correct?

cheers,

mikko
Yes. People do apply to multiple provinces but can accept and proceed only with one nomination.

Foreign work experience need not be related to your education so it is okay to have work experience before having a degree, IMO. This work experience must have been paid (not an internship etc).

Hello Gurus!!

Really helpful posts and guidelines.
I will really appreciate if you could give me some advice:
- My current CIC is about 410 (preliminary calculations but so far not created CIC account yet). I am married and have a kid.

Goal: To immigrate to Canada.

I have 2 options now:
1)To create CIC account and apply through OINP (I have a friend living there since 6 years - only tie and some plans on education)
2) Go for studies on Graduate Certificate (Humber) and only after studies to apply to CIC with increased score and more ties to Ontario apply to OINP with increase chances.

First option is comparably associated with less cost and shorter way to PR however risky - if rejected could potentially impact on my Study Permit.
Second option high cost but less risk.

What you would suggest, which way to go - what would be pros and const in 2 options?

Best regards

R

As I understand You have to prove visa office you intend to come back, and if in the system
office will see that you have CIC account I am thinking it might negatively affect the decision.

Correct me if I am wrong?

If you apply for a study permit when you have an active EE profile/PR application, the VO might refuse to approve your study permit for the reasons you have mentioned.

But, please explain how the first option (getting a PR), if rejected would have an impact on your study permit?

I was thinking that officer's decision might be influenced by the fact that you have applied for
PR in the past and your plan to come back to your home is not real. This is just a thought maybe I am wrong.

Concerning statistics how many people are getting Nominations is there any data on this?

Hello Raj,

I would like to know two things.

1. How do they send the AOR - by email or mail? It was difficult to fill the complete address in the application form.
2. How did you send the documents upfront? Do they provide any email in AOR as contact or did you send it to the 'ontarionominee at ontario dot com' email?

1) Please read my previous post.
2) About the nominations, a good number of applicants are getting nominations - unless there is any blunder with the application. OINP's rejection rate is relatively less.
3) Check my signature for the link to the spreadsheet!

1) By e-mail.
2) I sent it to ontarionominee@ontario.ca (quoting my case number, file number, name and EE profile number).

One more quick question:
I have more than 5 years of Work experience in Sales but I am currently working in opposite in Procurement (more than 1 year)
When I am checking my eligibility to FSW with 1 year I am refused, but with 5 years I am eligible.

So If I create my profile with sales NOC (but I am planning to work in future in Procurement) all my future job will depend on that NOC right?
i.e. OINP will as will be looking that NOC ?

Very true...before you apply for Student Visa, you need to withdraw you PR application. OR else plan for study after you get your PR. In that case your cost of study (tuition fee) will also be less almost a third of what you'll spend otherwise.

The more expensive ortion as you already said is withdraw PR application apply for a student visa (after you get LoA from the college) and then apply from Canada as CEC post acquiring 1 yr Canadian work experience.

You can claim points for both your NOCs. You can choose any one as the primary NOC.
