Well had been quite sometime that I posted here. Had submitted my application to OINP on 2nd Feb 2016 and got nomination yesterday. Just make sure that the express entry profile number is updated in OINP. Was waiting like everyone else , had submitted the PFL reply also 2 weeks ago. Then suddenly thought of emailing them the updated EE number. Within a day received nomination yesterday. Now waiting for the points to be added. Everybody here had been a great source of knowledge and encouragement. Thanks to all for the guidance.

Did they send you an acknowledgement of your PFL info sent in?

according to normal progression next draw will be on 8th march, but thats just a prediction.

11/05/2015 - Paid first instalment to Canada Abroad
18/05/2015 - Sent initial documentation to Canada Abroad and also went to apply for unabridged birth certificates
26/05/2015 - IELTS booked for 11/07/2015
- Transcripts sent to WES
17/06/2015 - Received unabridged birth certificates (Notified after 11 Days)
25/06/2015 - WES Evaluation completed and Degree Recognized.
11/07/2015 - Hubby & I both wrote the IELTS
23/07/2015 - IELTS Results, 8.5 and 7.5
29/07/2015 - Express Entry Profile Entered 406 Points
28/12/2015 - Provincial Interest from Ontario
20/01/2016 - Application on the way to Ontario (Bank Draft done via FNB, waited 4 days)
11/08/2016 - Bank Draft Expired / New one sent
22/09/2016 - Confirmation That Ontario has received Bank Draft.
02/12/2016 - More Information requested from Ontario
29/12/2106 - Applied for Police Clearance
30/12/2016 - EE Expired and new Entry done

hello Guys ,

My husband got nominated on 16th of FEB, but unfortunately there is one problem , i would like to know if anyone has face such an issue:

My husband has only first name in Passport and no last name which is why his nomination letter addressed him : Unknown Vishwanath

Also the nominee name given was also "Unknown Vishwanath"

Is this a matter of Concern, please reply.???

It should'nt be a matter of concern. However, make sure that you explain this fact to IRCC in LOE so that they will know it upfront.

The issue here is that again since husband does not have a last name we are not able to move forward,

When we are filling spouse details , that is my details: Under my family section when i need to mention him as a husband/spouse

we get stuck in first name and Last name , since when we had filled our express entry application , as per CIC help center filling his first name(Given Name) in the last name section and keeping the first name blank, as nothing was to be added NO "*" "N/A" or "Not Applicable" was not added (as per CIC instructions)

But now POST ITA , for online PR application , if in the same way we add the firstname(given name in passport) in last name and keep the first name blank , it gives a validation error that first name must be present.

Any ideas how to go about this problem? :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

What do you mean by surname?

Your surname is your family name. It is sometimes called your “last name.” If your name is spelled differently on your official documents, please write your name as shown in your passport. When filling out applications, type your surname as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document or any letters you got from the visa office or case processing centre where you sent your application (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.

If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) in the surname field and leave the given name field blank. Do not enter “*”, “Not applicable” or “NA”

Yes Marc the acknowledgment was received after the PFL concerns were resolved. After sending the documents, emailed them and received the acknowledgement. Sorry for late reply, trying to get PCC and Medical's done.
