Aren't pay cheques and salary slips different terms for the same thing?
In literal sense pay cheque refers to the cheque given to the employee with his pay denomination written on it(North Americans still use cheques a lot). As, most of the companies have now moved to electronic banking, you get a payslip these days. So, yes they are same thing in this context.

Does anyone know if a response to PFL will be ACKNOWLEDGED by OINP or is it again going to be a never ending waiting game?
With OINP you can never be sure what they will do.

You should try phoning them in about 2/3 weeks to check if they have received your letter/email. With a PFL I'd prefer not to risk it so I'd probably send the reply package via courrier, but if you can get an ACK from them over the phone then it's good enough I suppose!

Good luck!

Thank you. My anti-bodies HBV-AB is positive which means loss of HBeAg and the gaining of the antibody, HBeAb, can happen due to treatment, or spontaneously without treatment. However, considering that I have never taken any medication for HBV hence it means that I have been vaccinated against HB. Hopefully, embassy will consider all these facts otherwise all my hard work from uploading profile to nomination and them submission of the application will go into vain. Please Allah help.
I'm not a doctor, but I wouldn't worry about this! Hep A&B are like chicken pox or measles, you get it then you get cured and that's it... They may ask for you to do another set of tests on 3 months time to just make sure the viral count is zeroed and you core antibody is present... If you're worried go and see a Hep specialist, it's about the only think you can do now to put your mind at ease.

I have attached a draft copy response with inaccurate information when I first replied to that email on January 17, by mistake(my bad). However, I have soon realized the mistake that I have done and have sent a revised response along with all the reference documents again on January 18 stating that earlier email has inaccurate response and therefore requested them ignore it. Then on January 19 , I have sent them my revised response and the reference documents again by Fax stating them the same reason for resending the responseand also stated that I have sent a copy of same response by email the day before on January 18. So, far I haven't heard back from them and neither I did call them. Do you think I still need to courier them? Also, do they choose to ignore my first response? For some reason I'm having a hard time with OINP. I'm seriously considering about consulting an Astrologist.

Well I think physical will trump anything electronic in this respect, so if you courrier them your package they will most likely consider the physical package. State in you package that they should consider this above all else.

Alternatively call them and explain the situation, you may get a attendant (if you manage to get through) who is a helping mood, which could save you time and money with the courrier.

As g126 stressed, you cannot take chances at this stage. For PFL, it is better you send them the documents by courier.

I have just managed to get hold of an attendant and he confirmed that they have received additional information through Fax (the revised response) on Jan 19, 2017. He said the analyst is now reviewing it and he isn't sure of tentative time for expecting a decision. The initials in my PFL are SR. Did someone get an ADR or PFL from the same analyst /officer?

AGENTOO7, if they have confirmed that they have received your documents that is very good. At least you know that your documents are with them for processing. Kindly, note that as per the last update from OINP on Jan 12th they have completed the quota of giving nominations for 2016. Your nomination will be delayed until they receive the new quota. Good luck with the process.

Yeah, I do know that their 2016 quota was exhausted. For one, I also think that's one of the prime reasons for issuing PFLs and ADRs in what appears to be more than normal case (empirically speaking). I'm quite unsure about the decision though, I'm just hoping for the best. Thanks for your wishes.

Their 2016 quota was exhausted. Your application will be now moved for a nomination from their 2017 quota. So, just give it some more time. I know it's frustrating but do we really have a choice?

Hi Guys,

Need your help here. I just received another PFL in a matter of 8 days. The shocking part is that both the PFL's ask for the same concern. There is no difference at all between the two PDF's except that the date on both this PDF's is different, one is dated 16th Jan and the second that I received just now is dated 24th Jan. Here is what they are asking for in both the PDFs:

"The assessment of the information and documentation submitted in support of your application indicates that some of the above criteria may not have been met. Specifically:
1. A minimum of one year of continuous and full-time employment (1,560 hours or more) or an equal amount in continuous part-time paid work experience in a national Occupation Classification (NOC) 0, A, or B occupation in the past five years from the date of the PT Notification of Interest from Ontario, January 11, 2016.
2. The application indicates that you worked as an Assistant Manager at TMR Ltd. under NOC 4163. The information gathered from the application and other supplementary evidence indicates that you may not have a minimum of one year of continuous employment in the specified NOC occupation."

Now, I replied back on 17th Jan itself with proper documents and a written draft that I fulfill this criteria perfectly. Here is my drafted email:
"Hello OINP,
Thank you for your reply.
Please find below my response to your query regarding my continuous full-time employment at TMR Pvt. Ltd. as Assistant Manager:
1. I had joined TMR Pvt. Ltd. in October 2012 as Senior Research Analyst.
2. Thereafter, in January 2014, I was promoted as Assistant Manager in the same firm, that is, TMR Pvt. Ltd.. I remained in this position as Assistant Manager till 9th April, 2015, that is the date that I resigned from TMR.
3. Thus, from 1st January 2014 to 9th April 2015, I have completed continuous full-time employment (in total 15 months) under the same NOC of 4163.
4. In addition, if you calculate my overall continuous full-time employment at TMR, it comes to be 2 years and 5 months. This includes my tenure as Senior Research Analyst (from October 2012 to December 2013) as well as Assistant Manager (from January 2014 to April 2015).
5. To support this, I have attached a single PDF document with this email that includes scans of the original relieving letter, experience letter (first page only as rest sent earlier), appraisal/promotion letter as well as the payslip for month of January 2014 (all the Official Letters from TMR), that clearly states that I was under continuous full time employment with TMR and serving as Assistant Manager from January 2014 till April 2015. I have highlighted (in yellow) the concerned statements in the attached PDF.
Also, You (the senior processing officer), can feel free to contact me directly if there are any further concerns at your end, and I will be happy to answer all of them. I can be reached anytime at xxx.
P.S. : Kindly acknowledge the receipt of this email.
Thanks and Warm Regards"

But, OINP first of all did not acknowledge that mail and now they have sent the same pdf again.

Kindly help people. I am really short of ideas right now !! ??? ??? :-\ :-\ :'( :'(

Thanks.

Courier them hard copies of your response along with all the necessary reference documents. You can also fax them as well. I faxed them and called them a few days later and was told that they received my fax. OINP is not responding to emails these days. Good luck !! Could you please share us the initials of your case officer / analyst (?)
