This is an amazing platform (thanks to David Cohen), and I appreciate help and support from every one. I got nomination in new profile, so no worry of transferring it .

One kind request to all the members...this forum gives us a lot...so try to give it back as much as possible by giving useful information/suggestions to others. There are amazing members to name a few are Stanlee, Raj, Delpiero etc. who are instrumental in helping other people selflessly.

Hello guys,

Congratulations to all the people that have got their nominations; and to those that are still expecting to be nominated, be patient 'cos the good news will come very soon.

I'm currently completing my eAPR forms, and I have a question. I once spent nearly 6 months (172 days precisely) in US on holiday. This was not a short holiday, and I am wondering if it is necessary for me to record the address of the place I stayed in US in my address history?

Can someone please advise...

Hi all,

I got my nomination on Dec 21st and ITA on Dec 22nd. While creating EE profile a year ago, I applied under NOC code 2174 based on my previous job (experinece of 2 1/2 years), I got nomination too based on that. Now, I have got a new job three months ago, and the NOC code for that is 2283. In the PR application online, will this change of NOC code become a problem? How to handle this? pls help

However, it's been a week now and have not received anything from them except for the acknowledging email.

Yes it has happened to me. I received nomination on 26th dec and profile expired on 29th. Recreated the profile on 30th Dec. They send me a letter of nomination again Yesterday and I accepted it .
The points will reflect in 24 hours after you accept your nomination again.

Thank you so much. I was so worried as I thought it might take longer than that. In your case it was only 8 days after your new profile was created.

Are they going to send you a confirmation letter of nomination? I mean a physical hard copy which they usually send via Purolator?

If you do this what will probably happen is you'll get a NLA email (as OINP will probably ignore the email you send with your new profile details) and you'll need to resend the information. There have been reports of people that have been in this situation for nearly a month waiting for some good soul in OINP to link their NoM to their new profile.

If you wait you MAY get a NOM in the next few days and there will PROBABLY be a draw before the 16th so you MAY get an ITA before your profile expires (in this case you're safe as it will no longer expire).

My opinion is that recreating your profile will give you a head ache with regards to getting OINP to transfer your app to you new profile, whether you do this now or when it expires... so why not wait and hope you get a NOM before the next draw?

Up to you though, if you're sitting idly in front of you computer just refreshing your email every few seconds then recreating the profile might give you something to do ;-)

Since the last draw happened on Jan 04, I have withdrawn my profile and created a new profile ; have updated OINP the same through email and fax. After all this wait, I don't want OINP to add points to my express entry profile that's about to expire shortly and go through the wait time for transfer of points or nomination to my new profile. I have called them and have updated them the same the very next moment after faxing them. However, The horrible thing is NO ONE , ABSOLUTELY NO ONE who speaks on the phone doesn't want to be accountable. This is the conversation between me and OINP guy on the phone

ME: HI, I'm an FSW applicant and I wish to know the status of my application.
OINP person: File No. Pls.,
ME: XXXXX
OINP: Full name
ME : XXXX
OINP: Date of birth:
ME: XXXXX
OINP: Your application is in the decision phase
ME: But, I was told the same on Dec 05, 2016?

ME: I have sent you email and a fax regarding my profile update. Could you confirm, if you have received the fax?
OINP: Sorry I'm not from that department. There are separate people who attend that.
Me:Can I at least expect an acknowledgment for this update (via an email atleast)
OINP: Sorry, I have no idea.

P.S: I wonder, how come they are working without fixing their target timelines, tracking applications or being accountable (?)

Well I wouldn't worry about it now... If you get an NLA email then just reply with the info and may be you'll get lucky and they'll update it straight away (there have been reports of this on the forum). Just hope for the best now!

Getting an ITA perse doesn't depend on creating a new profile but on your CRS. If CRS>/= CIC draw, then you would receive an ITA. The issue is with OINP. You got to update them your new profile no. and job seeker validation code so that they would transfer the nomination to your new profile. Ideally it should not be a big deal, but then we are dealing with OINP, you got to be extremely patient. Well, looks like you didn't receive AOR yet? Call them up, till they lift the phone ask them the status of your application. Also, please post your timeline .

WOW! Congrats! This is very encouraging, am also Feb 2 applicant...

I have a query...I got ADR on Jan 04, and my EE profile is expiring on Jan 12....now am wondering if I should send the ADR documents on my old profile in next 1-2 days as soon as they are ready. and then wait for my profile to expire on Jan 12, re-create and intimate OINP? Some have suggested to withdraw my profile (as its anyway expiring in 5 days) and create a new one...and give all documents, and new EE profile details (LOE etc) to OINP in one single mail....will save time later on!!

Since 12th Jan is not far, what you should do is, send ADR, and mention in LOE that your profile is expiring on 12th Jan. Also, mention that as soon as profile will expire, you will send them new EE profile in a week. So they will not give you nomination on old profile (anyway they will need sometime to check your documents), and they will also note that you are in process of creating new profile.

Once your new profile is created and linked with job seeker code, send them following:

1. Message of EE profile expiry from old EE profile.
2. Message from new EE profile for creation of new EE profile
3. Message from new EE profile for accepted in EE pool (This message will be received when you link job seeker code with new EE profile)
4. New IELTS result if you haven't send it to OINP till now

If you want to make any corrections in your EE profile, you have a chance while creating new EE profile. I won't recommend to make any changes after you receive and accept nomination.
