Hello guys
I got nominated
Thank god

Hi all and congratulations on all the nominations coming through. I've had an email to say that I have a message from cic but I can't read it on my smartphone and can't get to a computer until tomorrow - arrgg! Just in anticipation that iI have the nomination, what it is the process next as in, when do they ask for medical and police checks - is it after ITA?

Thanks

No my friend... once you accept a NoM you'll get an ITA in the next draw...

Once you get the ITA then your profile freezes from and expiring point o view, so it will no longer expire.

Once you submit all your documents and pay the fee then you get an AOR. Only then your profile completely freezes from a document's validity point of view. Meaning all you documents have to be valid when you get your AOR, after that you can relax as if they expire it's OK.

The only exception is your medical, it's valid for 1 year from the date you do it and you MUST land before it becomes invalid (otherwise you'll need to do them again).

Thanks for clarifying!

Congratulations to you, and all Feb applicants who received the well deserved NoM. Wish you all a speedy PR.
Congrats :), but my ADR was Aug/08/16 then I sent my documents within a week. Is that kind of delay normal? I am a CEC inland applicant. Graduate from a Canadian university. Do you have any idea what is happening, any advice you can give me? Thank you

You should better check your status with OINP ASAP. If you live close by to their office, either visit their office or inquire by calling or faxing them.

Hey, thank you for the quick response. I called them yesterday after months of tries, he said they should give me the nomination by the end of the month but my situation is bad right now because my work permit expired during my employment then I changed my status to a visitor and now I'm unable to work until I get my PR. Do you know if I can restore my work permit after I apply for the PR?

Had you gotten your ITA before your work permit expired, you could have applied for bridging work permit. But now since you are on visitor status, it will be difficult to get that. From my point of view you will be needing a PR before you could work. But don't depend upon me on this, check on different threads or wait for some seniors to answer you on this.

Guys Guys.....

I just checked my CIC profile

guess what I got my NOMINATION yesterday itself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

feeling on cloud 9.....

Wish and pray that all of you get the same soon.

Officer HM told me on Aug 8th 2016 that after he gets my documents he'll tell me how to extend my PGWP, then never came back to me and stopped answering his phone, what a douche bag this guy. pissed me off so much. Anyways thank you for the reply and I hope you get the nomination soon.

He called me at work and left his number so I called him back, he started asking me question and wanted additional documents, then after a week a call him to ask about my work permit information he is like just send me a message and I will respond, never heard from him since, every time I call him it goes to his voicemail. What a joke this is!!!
