I understand and agree with you! It's not fair at all as it is THEIR fault for taking so long to cash in the DDs and issue AORs... But it was a suggestion that someone made a while back and made some sense in this nonsense world we seem to be living in! ;-)

Not to worry, I'd never take comments well structured such as your personally and understand your frustration!

g126: You are right that the issue with DDs was a genuine issue why some of the applications went at the back of the line. OINP had specifically stated that applications will be considered complete only once the DDs are encashed. Although this gave CEC and FSW inland applicants an edge but I must say this that OINP are themselves to blame for this fiasco. Had they foreseen this scenario back in Oct 2015, they should have adopted some new ways of tackling this huge deluge of applications which poured in Jan/Feb without asking the applicants to resend the DDs again.

If they had thought this through they should have cashed all DDs in and submitted a preliminary AOR with receipt... Then if the package was incomplete, refund the amount with an OINP check... Quite simple really. ;-)

Now I see whats happening. I am 100% sure now that my file has been stolen, lost or burnt. I called OINP 15-20 between 2 PM - 4 PM Toronto time yesterday but always got the msg to dial 10 digit number. You got to talk to OINP coz your app is still in process. OINP seems to be avoiding me on purpose coz they have lost my file. Now I understand the reason for this step motherly treatment.

Just kidding ... :)

You're too funny! LOL

I was saying from the perspective that OINP should have realized that in 2016 they might be receiving a large number of applications so why not hire those temporary staff earlier, get the applications as they came and then follow the process that you stated. I suppose this how a company runs that they plan ahead and be proactive rather than reacting to situations as they come along.

That too! But you know OINP is GOV right? So take a really badly managed company and make it worse, less efficient, slower, etc... you get Gov! 8)

@ g126

Flow of nominations seems to have halted for everybody. How long do you suppose that I have to wait for my nomination?

That's anyone's guess! I've read two things:
1) they have stopped issuing NoM so that people with Canadian education can have a better shot at the next draw and should resume NoMs after that - I personally don't think this is the case, but can't be certain.
2) after the update to the EE system on 19th many profiles have frozen and they plan to fix this by next monday so may be OINP is waiting for IRCC to get the new system more stable before resume issuing NoMs - I personally think this is more believable

In any event, you have confirmation that your file is in the decision phase so it should be anytime from 1-3 weeks. So I'd except you should have a NoM by the first (or second) week of Dec. But like I said, this is anyone's guess! ;-)

Thanks g126. Point #2 seems to be more logical. On a lighter note, we have been guessing about OINP throughout the process :D

being unemployed is fine... nothing to worry about

if you registered on job bank and applied for a few jobs, just send them those job application mails or screenshots or anything which shows that you have applied for some jobs in Ontario... they usually ask this question incase you dont have any connections or ties in ontario

Than you thestunner.316. I have 1 year work experience in Ontario and education. Still I have applied to some jobs and I have several job application confirmation emails with me. So Can I send all those emails to them and explain them that I have applied to several jobs meanwhile but got no response. however, my activity report on job bank shows 00 in applied section.

I will say what all the seniors in this group have been telling those who haven't received add doc request. Have good hopes that all the documents that you submitted are good enough for OINP to give you nomination without requiring anything extra.

These OINP guys don't answer phone calls neither they reply your emails how to get hold on them. I want to know the status of my file CEC submitted on 1 March 2016, AOR 19 August 2016 after that no additional docs request nothing really happening can any one help me on this.
