Hello All,

Should we worry about the additional docs request. Havent got any update after receiving new dd receipt and upon receiving the OLD DD back.

Am a feb 19th applicant and AOR aug 18th.

With less than a month for their vacation even additional request seems doubtful.

Any thoughts guys. Worried :(

I don't think you should be worried! Two reasons:
- There have been numerous cases for NoMs without add docs request
- It's beyond your control, so no point in worrying about it, so the best thing to do is to hope for direct nomination! ;D

May I know how do you find the officer name. My file number is XHSW-16052XX

Wondering the same. When I got my AOR there were the initials (SJ) in brackets. Is this the officer? Didn't see the initials on the additional docs request.

Is that really true or just a spirit booster?

It's true.. I saw a few cases a while ago. Haven't seen any recent cases but that doesn't mean it won't happen ;)

g126: What is the scenario now with people who are getting additional document request? Did any one of them had their application moved to decision phase?

Hi Friends,

I need your help on new regulations under Express Entry System. I have 1 year of full time work experience under NOC B category in Canada.

While calculating my points on updated CRS calculator under Section 6. i) work experience in Canada, I am getting points for 1 year.

However, under Section 6 ii) In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have?. Now, In this section can I just include Foreign work experience or both (Canadian+ Foreign) skilled work experience ?

Please share your views on this points.

Hey there! So we had a nomination today in the Jan thread of someone who was asked for add docs on the 14th (so a week ago) but he did not mention if or when he received a decision phase email...

Aside from that I've only seen decision phase emails for CEC...

So short answer, I've not seem many decision phase emails statements yet!

Thanks g126. So the question is why they are asking for additional docs if they don't want to process our applications soon enough?

My theory, and this is my own personal theory, is that OINP got a bunch or new employees and they got the new group, sat them down and said "start form the back of the queue (ie March) and make sure all files have updated documents so that by the time we get to them we won't need to ask for updated stuff"... that why quite a few people from March got add docs request before Jan applicants.. Again my OWN person theory ;-)

I guess we'll know soon enough... if March NoMs start to fly then I'm wrong... And trust me, I want to be wrong about this one! hehehe

Me too :)

g126: I called OINP office and they said that my file has moved to decision phase. Should I be happy or the operator guy has this standard answer that he gives to everyone. Honestly speaking I have lost all emotions with this OINP process.

g126: To be honest with you, I don't trust this operator guy until I receive something in written form. :-\
