Alright guys, there is something that I need your thoughts and opinions about.

I know this is more so inclined towards personal choice, but I would like to still like to weigh my options and possibilities.

I came across someone who is willing to offer me a work contract through UNO subsidiaries in South America for 6 months to a year;
Would be a formal contractual work arrangement with an expiry date and can be renewed if both parties deem fit at the end of the contract.

I would still need to go through the interview & visa process etc. and get selected.

For me, one hand I feel this would be a good experience to explore the world for a year before going to Canada.
On the other hand, I am concerned whether this would create complications with my OINP application and further process with CIC and subsequent visa office in my host country.

Like I already said, I know this mostly boils down to personal choice, but I would like to discuss my options with fellow applicants and seniors who might be able to give me some insight and help make an informed decision.

Cheers ;D

I was able to get through OINP enquiry line today after like 8-10 attempts in last 3 days. They told me my file is in the decision phase and no further documents are required. I also asked them about the email I sent for updating MY EE Profile number, they confirmed they have done that. This gives me some hope :D ;D ;) :D ;D
Does somebody have an idea how long is "Decision Phase"?

I got an email from OINP back in May, saying that my file "has been referred to a senior processing officer for a decision." Nothing since then :)

Yes, it looks like you and I have a very similar time line. Just a few days apart.

I emailed them twice about my application status in Oct. I got 2 replies.
One said "you will expect a correspondence from this office regarding your application SOON"
The other one "you will expect a correspondence from this office regarding your application VERY SOON"

That sounds encouraging. Hopefully, we will hear something soon :)

So did you see anybody there? What did the officer tell you?

I am observing the Dec application thread. Dec guys keep receiving nominations these days and they are also getting calls and requests for add docs. Seems at least one nomination for each day.
But our Nov thread is in silence over the past few days. Don't know what is happening or what will happen to our NOV applications >:( >:( >:(

I am planning to drop an email to OINP , writing about the torture which we are going through because of their incompetence .

Probably Dec applicants are getting nominations before us because our EE profiles got expired and they don't want to spend extra time required to verify the new profiles .

We are suffering because of lack of timely corrective action from OINP .
